Description

Location
The bungalow is located on bungalow park Palmera Park.
The nearest airports are Valencia and Alicante. At both airports there are plenty of opportunities to rent a car at a reasonable price.
For golf enthusiasts, the park is only 3 kilometers from the Golf Club Oliva Nova Golf.

Palmera Park
Palmera Park is a small and friendly park consisting of only 25 bungalows and (partly) apartments.
The park is spacious, so it never seems very busy. The park is fenced and closed with an entrance gate. This makes it safe and, in principle, children cannot just leave the site.

Casa Mimosa
Casa Mimosa is one of the two largest houses in the park and has two floors.
The fully furnished luxury holiday bungalow is quietly located in a quiet part of the park. The environment is green with a view of the mountains. The house has 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. The mezzanine can be used as a third 'bedroom'. This is located above the kitchen on the first floor and can be closed off with a curtain from the ground floor.
The fine sandy beach is only 600 meters away! The sea gradually gets deeper and is therefore also suitable for children. If you don't like the beach, the park also has a large swimming pool. Because it is a small park and all houses are never occupied, the swimming pool is not busy.
There are also two air conditioners (upstairs and downstairs), satellite TV (with all Dutch channels) and heating! Of course there is also wireless internet.

Your arrival!
Before departure you have received the keys by post so that it does not matter at what time you arrive.
A welcome pack will be waiting for you upon arrival! You can immediately enjoy a glass of wine or beer on the terrace and if you have children, soft drinks are also available. Bread and some toppings are also provided, so you don't have to go straight away for something to eat.
Bed linen and towels can be used for a small fee.

Stores
A few minutes' drive from Casa Mimosa are larger supermarkets where you can also go on Saturday evenings. if you arrive on Sunday, the nearest supermarket that is open is at the golf course (3 kilometers from Casa Mimosa). Several supermarkets have also opened along the coastal road. For more information, see the background information.

Restaurants
A number of restaurants are within reasonable walking distance. There are countless other restaurants along the coastal road towards Denia, in Denia itself and in the villages.

During your stay!
Should you require assistance during your stay, please call our Spanish contact Ana. This also applies, of course, when something is not right in the house. Of course you can also call me directly as owner or send me a whatsapp.

My name is Jeffrey leuverman. I live in Arnhem and work for the municipality of Apeldoorn. Since 2004 I have been the owner of the Casa Mimosa holiday home. I bought the house because I myself am a lover of Spain and the Spanish culture; I come there myself often. In the future, the plan is to move to Spain. To keep everything affordable, I rent out the house.

Location
Environment
The bungalow is situated at about 10 km from Denia and 6 km from Oliva. Supermarkets / restaurants and beach 600 meters.
Immediate vicinity

The nearest shop is currently Super Santa Ana, on the coastal front of the agency (Dania). Turn right towards Denia on the coast and it is virtually identical to the left. The owner wants to open all year, but during the winter months the hours are limited. Supermercado Rio is bigger and within walking distance. Turn left at the supermarket for this coastal road and at the end of the cul de sac you will find this supermarket on the right. Supermercado Rio is closed from November to March and in the other months usually only open in the morning. Along the coastal road to Denia are many other supermarkets.

Also at the Oliva Nova Golf course (approx. 3 km) is also a supermarket which is open on Sundays.

El Verger

The best supermarket is located closest to El Verger, a few minutes drive from Palmera Park via the N332 (follow the signs to El Verger). El Verger Drive inside and you'll notice on the left (a sharp right) the Supermercado Mas Y Mas. This supermarket also sells Dutch products such as currant, coffee (not everywhere available), gingerbread and biscuits. Something more is on the left Consum; another good supermarket. These supermarkets sell everything from fresh meat and fish to vegetables, fruit and bread. We recommend that you go to these supermarkets, because they are easy to reach even greater than the supermarkets in Denia or Oliva, such as Mercadona. The Mercadona supermarket is also good with a good quality for a good price. These supermarkets are open all year, but not usually on Sundays and public holidays.

The Esso garage on the left side of the N332 on the road to El Verger has also a small shop with some basic foodstuffs such as bread and milk. This 'shop' is open 24 hours a day and a good alternative to shopping on Sunday or late arrivals.

In El Verger are other smaller shops, such as a pharmacy (located at the green cross), a magazine shop, hairdressers, post office, etc. You can also pin it to a bank, near Supermercado Mas Y Mas.

Gandia

Do you like "hypermarkets" (mega large supermarkets), then you can go to Carrefour in Gandia go. Turn this on the N332 Oliva right and keep going. Then you Gandia and there, signs the way to Carrefour. Carrefour is large and crowded in summer. Besides Carrefour, a large retail center, "La Vidal" called. In this shopping mall are all located and it is such a nice place to buy clothes and shoes.

Ondara

In 2008 the shopping center near Ondara Puertal the La Marina opened. This shopping center is reached by pressing the N332 to turn left and drive towards Alicante. You will see the lie itself after 10 kilometers. Follow the signs 'parque commercial' to get there. In the mall are numerous stores and a hypermarket, the Eroski. This mega large supermarket really has everything. There is also a C & A and many other clothing and shoe stores.

Denia

The most fun to shop and sit on terraces is obviously the center of Denia. Most stores are concentrated at the central road lined with beautiful trees especially in hot weather for cooling. This road is on the right, opposite the ferry terminal to Ibiza. Your best bet near the harbor along the park road and from there to the center. The car lost in the center itself is virtually impossible. It is also possible from the coast road to the park the bus to the city to take. These buses run frequently and does not look quite long.

Market

Denia in its traditional markets (non-food on Monday) and fruit and vegetables on Friday. The market in Denia is great and will be held near the station. The smaller (but cozy) market in Oliva on Friday and the market in Gandia on Saturday. In the Costa Blanca News or in Dutch "Hello" (available at supermarkets and newsagents) for more information about markets in the area (also in villages in the mountains).
Restaurants

Casa Ramon is open from Easter to mid October and occasionally on holidays and weekends off season. To get there turn left onto the coastal road (towards the dead end of the road). The restaurant is located (walking distance) to the left. It's a nice looking and clean restaurant run by a Spanish family. The menu is simple and Spanish. We recommend that you value for your money.

A good restaurant is Fratellini. To be achieved by the coast road to turn right and the restaurant is then equal to the right. It is within walking distance and all year round. The Spanish owner / cook prepares all kinds of (Spanish) dishes, including pizzas. Food can also be included.

A very good Dutch restaurant is Hero. It lies on the coastal road to Denia after the third intersection with traffic lights (with Els Poblet) on the left side of the road. It has a very good reputation, but is more expensive than the other restaurants mentioned here. The landlord speaks also English besides Dutch.

There are many Chinese restaurants in Spain. They are incredibly cheap. Highly recommended is The Mandarin at Nova Denia. At the fifth intersection with traffic on the coastal road to Denia right. There is a fantastic selection of special meals. Amazing how much value for money you have here.

Another must is Marios Bommel. This restaurant is run by Germans at Centro Comercial Las Brisas, km 3 on the beach road towards Denia. The restaurant is on the path to that of the beach restaurant Bona Platja runs. Our (more) experience with Bona Platja restaurant are not good. The food is of poor quality and the service is unfriendly. Would you still eat at the beach, go to restaurant opposite Tenere Bona Platja.

We are also happy to restaurant El Barril. This restaurant is also run by Germans to the left of the beach road towards Denia at the height of km 3.5.

If you like Italian food at reasonable prices, try Pizzeria Sorrento again. Cheap and good service. In summer it is busy and after 21:00 is only a small chance of a free table. It is not possible to reserve. This restaurant is located after the sixth intersection with traffic lights on the right side of the road at kilometer 4.5 opposite Hostal Mi Campana. Open all year and out of season closed on Mondays. Another recommended.

Good Spanish tapas you can eat at Bar Gallego in Ondara on the right side of the road on the old N332 (the way of El Verger to Ondarra). The bar faces the plaza de Torros. Especially with the lunch is very busy.

When you're in Denia you can eat tapas at Jamonal Raconet the bar, near the train station across from where the market is held. A bar where you can taste the local atmosphere and tapas meals and other food.

B Bs is not far by car and is on the left of the old N332 in the direction of El Verger. In addition to the Lidl. A must for chicken and steaks. Sometimes live (flamenco) music in the summer and weekends.

Romantic and elegant dining (especially the sunsets are particularly) can at Restaurant Republic Denia in the new port of Denia (Marina de Denia).

There are many more good restaurants in the area. Do you have a recommendation, let us know!

¡Buen Provecho!

Bars

There are plenty of bars, unless you live in the heart of the winter.

Chiringuito Bar is located next Palmera Park and is clean and friendly. They serve tapas, snacks and a daily (afternoon from 13.00 to about 15.00. It is also possible to telephone from here. The restaurant is open all year especially during the day. Especially among the locals is a popular bar. Between the afternoon, especially the workers eat and drink a beer before they go back to work.

Tolli Bar located on the road towards the beach just across the bridge. They serve modest menus and a bar with internet access. One speaks some English and want something special you can eat the day before asking. There is also a cigarette store and you can buy stamps and cards.

During spring, summer and autumn there are many more opportunities along the entire coast. Try, for example, once the Parlor Heladeria Azahar on the right towards the dead end portion of the coastal road.

Doctors

Health care in Spain is good, both privately and from the state. A visit to the doctor costs about 30 € plus the cost of any treatment or medication.

The nearest doctor (Medico Medico or Artz) is the coastal road to Denia on the right. Just after the traffic lights on the right at Bar Mistral. The doctor called Dr. Luis Ólcina Reig and he speaks Spanish, French and German. On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday he has office hours from 17.00-19.00. Phone 96 575 5078 or mobile 639 919 677.

A good Dutch doctor is Dr. H.E. Landa in Beniarbeig. Phone 966490707.

Hospitals

A treatment without an immediate checkout can be obtained from the state hospital in Denia (or Oliva). These hospitals are marked with the signs' Hospital. The new hospital in Denia is located right on the road that the toll road (A7) connects Denia

A good private hospital (reimbursed by most Dutch health insurance) is Hospital San Carlos. This hospital is on the road from Denia to the motorway (A7) between the roundabouts opposite the McDonalds. You can see a doctor instead of directly to the emergency department of this hospital. Some Dutch doctors are affiliated with this hospital. One generally speaks good English.

Pharmacy

Pharmacies are widely available. You can recognize them by a green cross. In El Verger is a pharmacy, but also on the coast road to Denia on the right. On weekends there is always a pharmacy on duty. The address is in the Costa Blanca News or you can check with the police for example.

Dentist

There is a very good dentist in the center of Denia, Juan Moreno, tel 96 578 6007. Another good dentist is located on the coastal road to Denia at kilometer 4.5 on the right side of the road. The practice is called Clinica Tylat, tel 96 578 7769.

Both practices accept credit cards.
