Casa Cuatro is a characteristic village house, located in the center of the lively village of Monda at the foot of the Sierra de las Nieves National Park.
Monda is ideally located in the interior of the Costa del Sol between Málaga, with its airport (approx. 40 minutes) and the famous resort of Marbella (approx. 20 minutes).

The house is over 150 years old and has recently been lovingly renovated while preserving the many authentic Spanish/Moorish details. Unique is that this village house has a patio and garden with private pool!

Through the original double front door you reach the spacious hall with adjoining kitchen and study area. This in turn gives access to the patio located on this level. The master bedroom with adjoining bathroom can also be found on the ground floor. The master bedroom also has access to the patio where you can enjoy your coffee in the morning sun!

From the study corner, the stairs lead through an open loft to the first floor with a very spacious living room and dining room. This room has a nice wood stove for the winter months. A TV, equipped with Chromecast, and the Sonos speaker provide the entertainment. The second bedroom with its own bathroom is also located on this floor. This bedroom gives access to the higher garden with swimming pool and covered pergola.

The original thick walls (in some places almost 1 meter!) of the house provide natural cooling in the summer and a pleasant constant temperature in the winter. Of course, the bedrooms and living room are also equipped with air conditioning, if necessary.

The patio and garden have various seating areas and cozy spots to enjoy both the sun and the shade. The spacious covered pergola in the garden, overlooking the "Castillo de Monda", has a large dining table with cozy lighting in the evening. The private pool provides cooling and is also attractively lit in the evening.
Fresh lemons and various herbs can be picked in the garden for the enthusiast.

The house can be reached by car (handy for packing and unpacking groceries or suitcases), parking is possible further down the street or in the central parking lot of the village at 250 meters.
The village of Monda has many nice typical Spanish restaurants, eateries, terraces and bars. In addition, you can also have lunch and dinner at a higher level in the restaurant with international / Mediterranean cuisine of the Castillo de Monda.
The village has several shops (bakery, vegetable shops, butcher, pharmacy etc), small supermarkets and a weekly market on Tuesday. In addition, fun festivities are regularly organized in the village.

We lived in Monda ourselves and enjoyed this lively Spanish village very much. We like to travel all over the world, but Monda always felt like coming home.
We would also like to introduce you to this unique place, where our cozy house in the village can serve as a perfect base for your holiday!

Explanation of prices

Prices include final cleaning, bed linen and towels (excl. beach towels).

Deposit is €200 per stay.

Minimum stay in low season is 3 nights, in high season 5 nights.

Arrival days are in principle possible on any day, of course after consultation.

We are happy to make a tailor-made price for long-term stays and wintering . Please contact us in advance for the possibilities.

Down payment when booking is 25% of the rental amount, the remainder of the amount (including deposit) must be paid at least 8 weeks before the arrival date.

Other conditions:
  • We do not rent our house to groups of young people.
  • Casa Cuatro is a non-smoking house.
  • Pets only allowed after consultation.

Hotel Restaurante Castillo de Monda, located within walking distance of Casa Cuatro. Super nice location with bar, restaurant and garden, also open to outside guests! The eye-catcher of Monda!
The Caminito del Rey, the King's Path, is a historic walking path with a total length of 7.7 km (of which 4.8 km is 'approach and exit route'). It meanders at a great height through the gorge of the mighty Desfiladero de los Gaitanes, an hour's throttle over Málaga. The Caminito guarantees the spectacular photos, the views and is an 'experience'.
Ronda is one of the most beautiful (and most visited!) villages in Andalusia. Located close to Seville (1 hour 45 minutes drive) and Malaga (1 hour 30 minutes drive) on a rocky outcrop, this village offers breathtaking panoramic views of the entire valley.

You will find original water aqueducts, fountains and springs with flowing fresh water that provide the inhabitants of the city with fresh mountain drinking water and is well worth a visit.
Puerto Banús is a fashionable marina south-west of Marbella. It is known for its many luxury yachts, designer shops and chic restaurants. Tip: try Dalli's Pasta Factory (pastafactory.com) for a cozy and affordable lunch and dinner in the heart of Puerto Banús
