Villa La Loma has everything to make a stay unforgettable.
All comfort and a beautiful quiet location, with lots of privacy, between the olive trees strewn mountains, half an hour's drive from the sandy beaches of the Costa del Sol.
Four spacious double bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, and plenty of living space.
In addition to the cool living/dining room, the fully equipped kitchen with the equipment to cook for larger groups and the sunny breakfast/dining room, there is of course the spacious patio.
The patio is the heart of a typical Andalusian villa. Our spacious patio has a sun area and a covered shade area. Both patio entrances from outside the villa have lockable steel grille doors so your pets cannot get lost. Enough seating options to spend a very long typical Andalusian evening with up to 20 people. Enjoying what you have prepared yourself in the kitchen, or... let yourself be pampered with the dishes that the cook prepares for you.
Villa La Loma offers the possibility, if you don't feel like cooking yourself, or just want to be pampered, to have a cook take care of your meal completely. Blessed is it, an evening restaurant at home, and the price will certainly not be too bad.
On the mountain Mazmullar, which is within walking distance, you can see Phoenician and Roman remains on top of which you can still see Phoenician and Roman remains.
Villa La Loma's pool catches the first morning sun until the last rays of the day.
You can relax in the sun or in the shade of the Spanish umbrellas along the pool, usually with a breeze that can provide cooling.
The sun that shines almost all year round and which makes it possible that, when the sweaters have long been taken out in the Netherlands, it is still shorts/bikini weather in Villa La Loma during the day. And for the cooler nights, during the period when the car windows in the Netherlands have to be de-iced again in the morning, Villa La Loma, as one of the very few in the region, has a complete heating system for the entire house.
The kilometre-long, pleasantly busy and guarded beach of Torre del Mar is 25 km away and offers entertainment for young and old. For an extensive entertainment and nightlife you can go along the entire coast from Malaga to Nerga.
A few minutes' drive from Villa La Loma you can wander through the quiet, narrow streets of the originally Moorish white village of Comares. Comares is built right on top of a mountain and has changed little in hundreds of years. The fascinating history of Andalusia is still visible in the Moorish watchtower which has more or less withstood the test of time.
The overwhelmingly beautiful cities of Granada, Seville, and Cordoba are all worth a visit. Granada is only about 140 km away and the road, through, to get there is an experience in itself. The city of Malaga is about 40 km from Villa La Loma and offers everything you would expect from a modern big city. The old core has been beautifully preserved and invites you to stroll and forget the time on a terrace.
Villa La loma is ideal for a quiet holiday, but also as a starting point for an active discovery holiday. Horseback riding (also for advanced riders), fishing and canoeing on the artificial lake of Lake Vinuela, skiing on the slopes on the Sierra Nevada from October to May, mountain biking (starting from the front door!), (learning) mountaineering under supervision from Comares, cycling with or without guidance. And of course the water sports on the long and wide sandy beaches of Torre del Mar and Caleta. See also turismocomares.es
One thing is certain: at least you will not be disturbed in your sleep by car traffic or late revelers.
Slowing down is not a verb in Villa La Loma but a natural thing, before you know it, home in the Netherlands/Belgium is far away and long ago.
Recharge and refuel in comfort under the Andalusian sun, Villa La Loma is made for it.
Several low-cost airlines fly all year round from Dutch and Belgian airports to Malaga. Booking well in advance is generally cheaper than booking later.
Transfers to and from Malaga airport can be arranged.
Villa La Loma is easily accessible by (rental) car. The roads in Andalusia are steep and winding, but they are easy to drive on.
Cycling is a challenge, but if you want to take it up, you can compete with the Spanish cyclists who regularly pass by on Sunday mornings.
In any case, bring a pair of sturdy walking shoes, especially if you are a walking / nature lover, the Montes de Malaga Natural Park is just around the corner.
