The house is easily accessible via a renovated, improved, paved road (April/May 2023). The house is quietly located but not remote.
Due to its location, the Axarquia has a subtropical climate with warm summers and mild winters (overwintering). The region has an average of 320 sunny days per year!
From the private swimming pool and the many terraces you look out over the beautiful landscape of Andalusia and the Mediterranean Sea. The extensive garden full of fruit trees and plants provides privacy and during the season you can pick fruit from the trees to your heart's content.
The area around Villa Velez offers plenty of opportunities for beautiful walks from home or in the Axarquia.
There are countless possibilities for excursions: the Alhambra in Granada (an hour and a half drive), Malaga, Ronda, Cordoba, Nerja, Torre del Mar, the beautiful white villages of Arenas, Competa, Frigiliana, wide beaches and cozy bays and wonderful restaurants.
WiFi is available free of charge indoors and outdoors on the terraces.
The beds are very comfortable: four extra long box spring beds measuring 2.20 mx 90 cm.
In most villages and towns there are weekly markets where you can buy items from the region. The region offers numerous dining options. There are restaurants and tapas bars in every village. On the coast, even on the beach, it is fantastic to eat fish.
The view at night is also worth mentioning. The Milky Way, Orion and many stars can be seen.
