My name is Helene. I have been living in Malaga since 2001.
In 2003 I opened 'Restaurante Vino Mío' in the square of the Municipal Theater 'Cervantes' in the heart of Málaga. We have a creative kitchen and a beautiful terrace.
From Wednesday to Sunday there is a fantastic dinner show.

I took over Casa Esperanza from friends who went back to the Netherlands.
I immediately sold my heart to the house, so cozy and super located in a quiet urbanization.

Additional information

Malaga was a candidate to become the European Cultural Capital of 2016. Unfortunately the choice did not fall on Malaga. But since then much has changed in Malaga. Not only have many museums been added; in total, the city now has 25 museums. But the city center has also had a makeover. The results are impressive. Old derelict buildings have been refurbished. The harbor on the edge of the center is beautifully situated. A cruise ship also regularly moors here. A large part is car-free in the center. So you can stroll on the Calle Larios; the shopping street of Malaga. In addition, all sights are in or on the edge of the center. This makes Malaga a top destination in Spain. So you don't just make a city trip to Barcelona, Valencia or Madrid. Malaga also has a lot to offer. And if you are on holiday in Andalusia, a visit to Malaga should not be missed. Taste the typical Andalusian atmosphere and enjoy this wonderful city.

The Axarquia is the region in the southeast of the province of Malaga, east of the city of Malaga. The name Axarqui is not Spanish, but Arabic and means Country in the east. You can find the long Moorish domination in many things. For example, in Comares, the highest village of the Axarquia, you can make a walking route that focuses on the Moorish roots of this place. The Axarquia is characterized by a huge number of small, white villages, beautifully situated on the mountain slopes. The population of the Axarquia mainly lives from agriculture. The viticulture was dying a few decades ago due to the killing competition of regions where much more extensive work can be done. Fortunately, government subsidies have ensured that this age-old tradition with its small scale, mules and cooperatives, has not been lost. The landscape of the Axarquia can be compared a bit with that of Tuscany - also a wine region - but then rougher and drier. The height differences in the Axarquia are also larger, which results in beautiful views. And if you look closely at how the vineyards are laid out, you will get respect for the farmers. Often they have to climb for hours with their mule to reach their small pieces of land. You won't see many agricultural vehicles here, since mules are much more efficient in this landscape! The climate of the Axarquia is the mildest in all of Europe! The high mountains of the Sierra Nevada in the north stop the cold north wind. They also ensure that the warm south wind from Africa does not escape. The Axarquia is a lot less touristy than the area to the west of Málaga. The seaside resorts of the Axarquia; Torre del Mar, Rincon de la Victoria, Torrox and Nerja, are a lot quieter than their 'big brothers', Marbella and Torremolinos. However, you will find that the beaches of the Axarquia are equally beautiful and offer plenty of space even in high season!

The temperature on the Costa del Sol is really great.
The Costa del Sol has the most sunshine hours in Europe. In the summer it is with
an average temperature of almost 30 ° C, sunny and warm, but also in winter
the temperature remains pleasant at around 16 ° C.

The Costa del Sol has many seaside resorts. Most of these
seaside resorts used to be picturesque fishing villages. On the west side of Málaga
These fishing villages have become major tourist resorts such as
Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Marbella.

The less well-known are on the other side of Malaga
resorts such as Torre del Mar, Torrox, Rincon de la Victoria, Benajarafe and
Nerja.

Not far from Malaga, Granada and the Costa del Sol is the Axarquia. This region is located in the South-East of the province of Malaga. Nice white mountain villages, beautiful views and an ideal temperature make this area particularly suitable for exploring by car. There are therefore a number of car routes in this region that are all worth exploring. Get a day in the car and enjoy the beautiful nature, the nice white villages. Stop en route for a delicious lunch with Tapas. All car routes are approximately 60 kilometers. But don't be mistaken. You drive in the mountains so take it easy. If you want to enjoy everything that you encounter along the way, you can take a day off. Lots of fun!
A Spanish saying is: Anyone who has not seen Granada has not seen anything. A visit to Granada means that you cannot skip the Alhambra. The Alhambra is a medieval palace and fortress of the Moorish rulers of the Kingdom of Granada in Andalusia. It has been declared a heritage of humanity. But Granada is not just the Alhambra. It is a city with 250,000 inhabitants, young and lively with around 60,000 students. Take a stroll through the shopping streets and the squares in the center. Enjoy the tapas bars, the restaurants and the typical relaxed atmosphere.
Cordoba is best known and loved because of its Great Mosque or Mezquita, which is one of the most important Islamic monuments in Europe. But the city has much more to offer. The Jewish Quarter or Juderia, with its impressive synagogue, is just as fascinating to discover. The narrow, atmospheric streets are very inviting to get lost in for hours. In addition, the Alcazar de los Reyes, where Christopher Columbus revealed his travel plans for India, and the Medina Arahara are certainly worth the effort. The architecture of the city is predominantly Moorish, but despite the past that lives on in it, modern life is also fully integrated into the cityscape.
El Caminito del Rey was also known as the most dangerous walk in the world. The walkway has existed since 1905 and was in a serious state of decline and therefore prohibited access.
But in 2014 the restoration started and at the end of March 2015 the walkway opened to the public. The path is 3 km long and is nailed to the rock face at an average height of 100 meters. For your visit you must reserve tickets in advance via the website www.caminitodelrey.info .

El Caminito del Rey is an hour's drive from Malaga. http://www.caminitodelrey.info/es/5048/prepara-visita
Winter opening hours from 10 am to 5 pm Summer from 10 am to 5 pm Admission is prohibited for children under the age of 8
