CASA ALMENDRA is located in the hills of the Mirador de la Axarquia, on the edge of the national park La Sierra Tejeda. From the house you have a breathtaking view of the pine forests of the Sierra Tejeda, Lake Viñuela and the surrounding area.
In addition, we would like to mention that the last stretch of road to the villa is now provided with a layer of concrete. For all guests who thought this was an exciting part of the road, a big improvement!!!!
The villa borders the Tejada and Almijara mountain ranges and the huge natural park with the impressive Mount Maroma (2063 m) as a backdrop. Especially spring and autumn are ideal times for walking with daytime temperatures of 20-25 degrees. Even in winter the temperatures are still pleasant. Nature is beautiful when the almond trees bloom exuberantly white and the oranges are ripe. The sun shines 330 days a year in this region. The nature of Axarquia has a lot to offer: wooded mountains that alternate with open terrain and orchards where olives, almonds and other dried fruits grow.
A total of 13 signposted hiking trails have been set out in the nature reserve.
