The holiday home is within walking distance of the highest dune in Portugal, on the bay of Salir do Porto and São Martinho do Porto. This bay is protected from the Atlantic Ocean by two rocks, making it very suitable for a stay with small children on the beach.

From the house and the swimming pool you have a beautiful view of this bay and the surroundings. In the distance you also have a view of Nazaré and even the lift of Nazaré is visible on nice days. The house has a terrace next to the heated private swimming pool (5m x 3m) with an outside shower and a second terrace on the other side the House. The house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and is equipped with every comfort and of course WIFI. The home is child-friendly with a game console and toys for inside and outside. A reading and discovery story was written especially for the home.
In the winter you can enjoy the cozy warmth of the pellet stove, which you can light with the simple push of a button.

The sandy beach - with the highest dune in Portugal - is within walking distance (15 minutes). This beach is guarded in the summer and there is also ample free parking space provided. The center of Salir do Porto with a shop, a bakery, a bar and some restaurants is also within walking distance. From the beach of Salir do Porto you can walk along the bay and a wooden footpath (15 minutes) to São Martinho do Porto. In São Martinho do Porto you will find dozens of restaurants and shops.

The region not only offers beautiful nature and various beaches - each with its own atmosphere and assets - and with opportunities to practice all kinds of water sports or spot dolphins . The medieval walled city ' Obidos ' is definitely worth a visit. Nazaré is known by surfers as the place with the highest waves in the world. There are also various world heritage sites in the area. In Fatima you will find - in addition to a famous place of pilgrimage - caves.
Nearby there are also viewpoints from which you have a view of the rugged rocky coasts of the Atlantic Ocean, interspersed with fine sandy beaches.

If the tenant wishes to cancel the booking for whatever reason, the tenant must always confirm this by e-mail to the landlord (even if this has already been communicated to the landlord by telephone, for example). The landlord will charge the following amounts: depending on the date of written cancellation by the renter:

cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: free of charge
cancellation between 3 months and 6 weeks before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price
cancellation 6 weeks or less before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price

If the tenant only announces on the commencement date or during the rental period that he will not use the rented property (anymore), he will still owe the full rental price.

Climb the highest dune in Portugal and enjoy the view over the bay of Salir do Porto and São Martinho do Porto.

Nazaré is an old fishing village with 2 beaches. Praia de Nazaré where there is always a lot to experience, and praia do Norte known for the biggest waves in the world (between November and February) where surfers can indulge. The fort can be visited and there you can find more information about this phenomenon. In the summer you can practice a lot of water sports and also spot dolphins. On the beach there is a wellness center where you can enjoy bathing with warm sea water. With the lift you can easily go from Sitio to the beach below or vice versa.

Het is qua cultuur, sport en winkels het centrum van de regio.

Obidos is een middeleeuws stadje. Regelmatig zijn er festiviteiten : middeleeuwse feesten, chocolade feesten, kerstmarkt enz....
Zowel in de zomer als in de winter is het aangenaam om rond te lopen in dit pittoreske stadje.
Je kan er over de stadsmuren lopen. In een van de torens van het kasteel bevindt zich een escaperoom, een aanrader.

Je kan er heerlijk wandelen langs de Oceaan.
Op de baai kan je watersporten beoefenen.
In Foz do Arelho zijn er verschillende restaurantjes waar je lekker kan eten.

Three world heritage sites nearby: Alcobaça (photo), Bathala and Tomar.

The 'Mosteiro Batalha' is a world heritage site. The monastery was built by King Joào I to pay tribute to the Portuguese victory in the battle of Aljubarotta (14 Aug 1385). There are many tombs of kings and queens. A visit to the monastery is very worthwhile.

The beaches are an important attraction in Peniche, you also see a lot of surfers. The historic center is pleasant to visit. From Peniche you can take the boat to the island of Berlengas. Depending on the season you can spot a lot of birds or see flower carpets.

In dit kleine stadje kan je een gerestaureerd kasteel vinden waarvan de torens een groen dak hebben. Het kasteel is klein maar mooi gerestaureerd. Naast het kasteel ligt het kerkhof.
Een paar kilometer verder zijn de 'grutas de Mira de Aire'. Het is een complex van grotten waarvan de rondleiding een uurtje duurt. Ze worden beschouwd als de mooiste en grootste grotten van Portugal.

Het heiligdom van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Fátima is een van de grootste heiligdommen ter ere van Maria ter wereld. Het wordt jaarlijks druk bezocht door veel bedevaarders. Het grote plein, waar openluchtmissen plaatsvinden is indrukwekkend groot. Fátima zelf heeft als stad weinig te bieden.
Op een paar kilometer van Fátima zijn er grotten die je kan bezoeken.
