Holiday home with two spacious bedrooms of 36 and 43 m2 (one bedroom on the ground floor and one bedroom on the first floor), each with its own bathroom & terrace and private entrance (no internal connection). Large separate kitchen on the 1st floor, which is fully equipped and with large sliding doors to the large terrace in front with a view of the Serra da Estrela. For the guests there is a swimming pool (salt water, 12 x 4 m) with a sun terrace. Terraces and patio overlooking the woods & mountains. In the middle of the Dão wine region, in nature on 1 hectare of private land. Shops, amenities and restaurants are within 5 kilometers. The accommodation is open all year round and has mosquito nets and air conditioning (heating/cooling).

Lugar do Pégo is located in the middle of the wine region of the Dão, with vineyards and wineries 'around the corner' and borders the ecopista - a cycle path of 49 km without any motorized traffic. Mountain bikes can be rented upon prior request. Less than 300 meters away is the river Dinha, clearly audible with its waterfalls. Further along the Dinha and the river Dão there are river beaches where you can swim. With a view of the Serra da Estrela and the Serra da Açor, surrounded by trees and tranquility and 21 kilometers from Viseu and 69 km from historic Coimbra, the accommodation offers all possibilities to be active but also to relax. The Caramulo Mountains are 20 minutes away by car and are suitable for hiking, paragliding, abseiling and has a renowned old-timer museum. The Serra de Estrela is an hour's drive away, as is the sea with several fantastic beaches. There is also a thermal bath with various beauty packages within 15 minutes by car and a golf course with 27 holes within 15 minutes.

Viseu is 21 km from Lugar do Pego and can be reached by bicycle via the ecopista. Coimbra is only 69 km away. Free WiFi throughout the complex. Towels and bed linen are provided. Free parking is available on site.

Lugar do Pégo is also interesting from a gastronomic point of view: a few kilometers away is a famous authentic Portuguese restaurant with Bib Gourmand (Très Pipos), less than 15 kilometers away is the Quinta de Cabriz, also famous for its wines, and less than 20 kilometers away away is the beautiful Quinta (Mesa) de Lemos.
Along the ecopista there are various food and beverage outlets.

The holiday home is a renovated detached part of a country house consisting of two buildings and meets the highest standards of comfort and quality.

2-3 p room 1st floor : see 2 p room downstairs and also a sofa bed (1.40 x 1.90).
The kitchen on the 1st floor :   spacious kitchen (27 m2) with wood stove, oven, microwave, ceramic hob, dishwasher, espresso machine, hot water kettle, fridge and freezer, crockery, 2 large dining tables (10 p) with a full-width view of the mountains. Air conditioning.

Of course there is free WiFi and a private parking space. Each bedroom has its own entrance and terrace.

Worth knowing

• A little further on the property is the main house, villa Lugar do Pego with its own entrances, terraces and parking spaces. Completely separate from the holiday home.

• Given the height differences on the quinta and the terraces, which are not all fenced, the holiday home may be less suitable for young children.

• The pool is shared by the guests of Lugar do Pego (up to a maximum of 13 people in total).
