With a private domain of no less than 8 hectares, there is plenty of space to relax and unwind.

Your stay consists of a comfortable and luxuriously furnished living area (100m² in total) with a spacious terrace and exclusive private swimming pool with a pool house and a barbecue area.
In addition, all our rooms are equipped with underfloor heating/cooling and extra air conditioning in the living room. Bed, bath and kitchen linen are included, as well as beach towels for the pool.

At Quinta Dos Bruzios we strive to offer you an unforgettable holiday experience, where privacy and exclusivity are central.
Although we as owners live on the first floor, you have your own private access and terrace. The pool is for our guests only, as only one unit is rented. So you can exclusively enjoy all the amenities that our estate has to offer. Let's get acquainted, we are 2 passionate fifties who, after an active career, needed a “different life”. Our dream, always been, was to one day move abroad. Because of our job, me as a travel agent and my husband as an independent manager, we have traveled around half the world. Because we wanted to stay within Europe, Portugal seemed like the ideal place to start a new life. Especially the beautiful nature, the friendly people and the delicious food appealed to us.

The nature park and the highest mountain range of Portugal "Serra da Estrela" is close by (20km). An overwhelming natural beauty where you have several hiking trails with reservoirs, small waterfalls and breathtaking views. At the highest point 1993 meters above sea level stands a tower "Torre" with the intention of just above the 2000 meter limit. You will find artisan shops and a cafe / restaurant and chair lift because during the winter this is a small ski area.

Coimbra is a historic and lively city with many sights. You should definitely visit one of the oldest universities in Europe with the adjacent world-famous library, but also the Se Velha, a cathedral dating from the Romanesque period, the Convent of Santa Cruz, the beautiful Machado de Castro Museum and the pleasantly busy downtown, are definitely worth a visit.

This tour is extremely suitable for families. You will be picked up in Tabua and taken with a 4x4 and taken to the Mondego River where you can rent an individual canoe or a canoe of 2 or 3 people. The trip lasts approximately 2 hours if you continue to paddle non-stop, but you take a picnic with you and do it nice and quiet, enjoying the robust nature you can make a day trip. You cannot possibly go wrong and at the end of the ride the 4x4 is waiting for you to take you to your car in Tabua. The cost is +/- 30 to 35 euros per person for an individual boat and for a 3-person canoe one-off 50 euros.

Viseu with the Grão Vasco museum, the Sé Catedral and the narrow streets where you can wander around in the coolness during the summer. An ecopiste (= cycle path on an old train bed) also leaves from Viseu with a total length of 60 km. Along the way you can admire the beautiful and varied landscapes and there are various stopping places, mostly old stations that have been converted into cafés or a restaurant.
