Casa Zambujeira do Mar

Holiday house fully equipped at 300 meters from the beach. Suitable for 6 people. Zambujeira do Mar is a small, originally fishing village, located in the southwestern part of the Alentejo.

The village is easily accessible at a 1.5 hour drive from Faro airport and a 2.5 hour drive from Lisbon. The village is built on top of the rocks on the Atlantic Ocean and has one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal. No mass tourism here, as in the Algarve; Zambujeira do Mar is especially popular with the Portuguese themselves. You will not find large hotels and noisy bars here, but there are plenty of nice cafes and restaurants to relax and enjoy the sunset during dinner. The village is located in the middle of the Southwest National Park, so strict building regulations apply and it has village retains its original character and charm. Our holiday home, which we offer for rent, was completed in 2007 and recently completely painted again. The house is located at the beginning of the village and the distance to Zambujeira's main beach is about 300 meters.

The house has a large living room with fireplace and an open kitchen with all appliances. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, the master bedroom has a large terrace. A staircase leads to the attic floor, where there is another bedroom. The house has two bathrooms, one of which has a bath. There is also an outdoor terrace downstairs with a BBQ and a beautiful view over a valley and the surrounding hills. The house is also suitable for babies and small children; two cots, high chair and changing table are available. The house is tastefully decorated, has excellent beds, has a fiber optic connection with cable TV and super fast internet and WIFI, as well as DVD and an audio system.

In the vicinity of Zambujeira do Mar there are many small beaches where you hardly meet anyone even in high season. The house is ideal for day trips in the area to discover the old towns and villages and the beautiful coast and beaches of the Alentejo. For cheap flights; Ryanair and transavia also fly from Eindhoven and Rotterdam to Faro and Lisbon.
