Very suitable for nature lovers - not suitable for people looking for a luxurious, modern holiday home - a low price for a nice base! NOT in a park!

The old house is located in the outskirts of Hellendoorn. It is a former, simple, small farmhouse with a few barns and is located directly near the forest (mixed forest - coniferous and deciduous trees). The location of the house gives you a lot of privacy, you reach the house via a private road (approximately 80 meters from the public road). It is possible to find a spot in the sun around the house.
From the house you can walk directly into the forest! Due to the open nature of the old barns, it is not suitable for children under 12 years of age.

The house is simply but efficiently furnished; it is equipped with all the basics.
Layout of the house: spacious hall, kitchen/diner with wood stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, basic kitchen equipment. Compact living room, gas fireplace, smart TV with Netflix, Youtube NB so no (normal) Dutch channel offering..
In the summer the house is wonderfully cool.

1 bedroom with two single beds, 2 single bedrooms, bathroom (shower, sink, toilet - also suitable for the disabled to a certain extent - further information by email). There is plenty of space in the yard for parking and recreation; the barns are in principle not accessible to the tenant.
After consultation, it is possible to store bicycles and large items in a shed. E-bikes can also be charged there.
You can relax in and around the house. There are many walking and cycling routes.

The house offers a nice base for hiking, cycling and simply enjoying nature. The black woodpecker, the collared redstart, the great spotted woodpecker, the nuthatch, the barn owl and the tawny owl certainly make themselves heard during the breeding season.
Deer are frequently seen in the meadow at the edge of the forest. A beekeeper has a few bee colonies at the back of the plot - a good distance from the house. The real honey is sometimes also for sale and there may be interest in making an appointment with the beekeeper to take a look.
Hellendoorn is located at the foot of the National Park 'De Sallandse Heuvelrug', Paarse Poort. The immediate and further surroundings are ideal for hikers, cyclists, mountain bikers, nature lovers in general and those seeking peace and quiet. Whisper boats can be rented at the Schuilenburg Estate to sail on the river De Regge - (approx. 2 km from the house.)
