Oostwoud is located in the Hoorn, Medemblik and Enkhuizen triangle. All three cities are worth a visit. With pleasant shopping streets, squares, terraces, museums and harbors, there is plenty to see and do. Radboud Castle is also in Medemblik. Furthermore, this rural environment is characterized by a lot of water. Locks, waterways, lakes and of course the large IJsselmeer. And here the adventure actually already starts because behind the house are 2 motor boats waiting for you to explore the area from the water. You can sail to the nature reserve Egboetswater (also within walking distance) and the Vlietlanden lake. In short, an ideal location to discover North Holland, to relax and to relax. Also visit the cheese market in Alkmaar and if you want to trade in sweet (IJsselmeer) for salt then you will be at the beach within an hour. There is also a sauna and wellness complex in Oostwoud. In the same street there is also an outdoor swimming pool. Everything can be done on foot or by bicycle. And you will find many recreational facilities in the immediate vicinity. At the IJsselmeer you will find a nice playground, a children's farm, mini golf, an indoor swimming pool and a golf course (18 holes).

To speak of a fairytale-like environment may go a bit too far, but this old Patrician house is very special and has a lot to offer.
