Roggedoes farm house

Luxury holiday home, situated in a North Holland farmhouse from 1865. You will find our farm in the picturesque village of Barsingerhorn. In the past, the farm served as a farm, bakery and greengrocer. Since a thorough renovation in 2021 and 2022, the farm has been restored to its glory and equipped with all modern conveniences. The traditional North Holland stolp has a wooden frame of four poles, on which the large pyramid-shaped roof and the floors rest. The attractive details of this wooden frame can be found throughout the farmhouse.

The farm house occupies a quarter of the farm, has its own entrance and is suitable for 1 to a maximum of 4 people. Upon entering you will find a hall with stairs and door to living room with open kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a 5-burner gas stove with double oven, extractor hood, refrigerator, dishwasher and espresso machine. A cozy round dining table and lounge sofa complete the comfort. On the ground floor you will find a wardrobe and extra storage space for your clothes, suitcases or groceries. In the living room you can enjoy the rural view of the canal with the bridge and the farmland with its sheep and farms. With the large sliding door you have a lot of light and you can easily bring the outdoor feeling inside. Of course the television is not missing and you can listen to your own playlist via the sound box. The bathroom with toilet, double sink, walk-in shower and hair dryer can also be found on the ground floor. On the first floor are two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the second bedroom with two single beds. There is also a second toilet with fountain on this floor.

For your convenience, the beds are made for you on arrival and the house is equipped with towels, kitchen towels and bathrobes. In addition, to ensure a relaxed start to your stay, we provide the essentials for your first breakfast and your daily coffee and tea. Depending on the length of your stay, extra towels or bed linen are available for you. Outside you will find wide views. At the house and in the garden you have your own place with a lounge set, picnic table, daybed and barbecue to eat or relax. Our garden, consisting of grassland with trees, borders water and a nature reserve where birds like to nest. Are you a bird lover? Then bring your binoculars.

The farmhouse is located 3 kilometers from the cozy Schagen on one side and the picturesque Kolhorn on the other. The house is located between two cycling junctions and on a walking route. A great start for those who like to explore the area by bike or on foot.

Sea and beach are also within reach with 12 kilometers away. At 25 kilometers you will find Den Helder, where you can visit Texel by boat. Golf enthusiast? Barsingerhorn has its own golf course or you can go to one of the courses in the immediate vicinity. In our guest book you will find many more tips for trips you can make in the area.

On 19 and 20 August 2023 we will participate in the Nazomeren Nieuwe Niedorp event. This is an art and culture route, where you can enjoy art, music, special or historic homes and gardens at participating residents. We hold an exhibition with works by artist Lidia de Loos. Enjoy the special atmosphere and hospitality on the route that you can also cycle.

August 26, 2023, the Heerenweg will be closed between approximately 2 and 11 p.m. due to junk village. A cozy flea market, which will take place in front of the farmhouse from 4 to 10 pm.
