- Holwerd is three kilometers away from JoRiTo, here you can go for the departure to Ameland. You could also get a breath of fresh air here on the pier.
- This B&B is a stone's throw away from Unesco World Heritage: the Wadden. The Lauwersmeer area national park is also not far from the location. From Lauwersoog there is a departure to Schiermonnikoog, on Lauwersoog there are also many opportunities for walking or cycling.
