In our opinion, our forest house is very special because of its special location and because of the considerable forest area around the house (more than 4,145 m2!!!). It is therefore very private. Dogs are allowed and horses can usually be placed near our holiday home. You only have nature around the house.
Our forest house borders directly on the Drents Friese Wold NATIONAL PARK. You drive on a dirt road into the woods to our house. Our simple house was built in the sixties. We would describe it as simple and sober. However, it is equipped with what you need. It is also equipped with central heating in all rooms and there is also a wood stove which influences the atmosphere positively and Zen when used.
In the evening it is very dark and quiet. And when you sit on our veranda you will hear the nightlife slowly awakening. With a bit of luck you will see various wildlife. And in the middle of the meadow in front of our house is a stork pole where a nest of young storks has been born in recent years. We have binoculars in our house. With patience and a good look there is always something to see: Hares, rabbits, roe deer, martens, etc. And if it is a bit cool, you can sit by the wood stove .
The living room of our forest house has a particularly cozy atmosphere thanks to the low-placed windows. You have a beautiful view of the private forest and the meadows of the Drenthe landscape (with wild cows). There is a fireplace in the living room. Each room with CV.
