Pure Borgervilla

PURE BORGER VILLA AVAILABLE AGAIN FROM MAY 1, 2023
After the holiday home has been rented out for a longer period of time to a couple who have had a house built in the vicinity of Exloo, the door of Puur Borgervilla will open again for you on May 1, 2023. The house is then a home for your well-deserved holiday.

After this long rental period, the house has undergone a complete metamorphosis. The furniture in the kitchen and living room has been replaced and it looks at least .... great. The complete crockery (plates, cups, glasses, etc.) has also been replaced and is in line with the metamorphosis that has been achieved. The house is fully painted inside and out. Wow ...... Take a quick look inside for the result.

GENERAL

Your holiday home is part of the beautiful Hunzebergen estate. The house is located on private land with lots of privacy, tranquility, space, nature and comfort. The whimsical nature of the unique nature reserve with the special status of UNESCO Global Geopark can be seen on the partly sloping terrain of the Hunzebergen estate. Centuries-old trees have been preserved and give it a private character. Due to its beautiful location on the edge of an avenue with trees, the house is light inside and sheltered. Many of the surrounding houses are permanently inhabited, so you do not have the feeling that you are staying at a holiday park.

There is much to experience in the immediate vicinity and you can endlessly cycle and walk, but there is of course much more to do.

ON THE ESTATE
Hotel Hunzebergen is located on the estate. There are various facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool, beauty and wellness salon, indoor swimming pool, hard court tennis court, miniature golf course, pump track, bowling alley, bicycle rental, playground, air trampoline and climbing equipment, snack bar, hotel and restaurant. The estate is a beautiful natural area where deer have been 'living' for years.

ENVIRONMENT
The estate is close to the Drenthe village of Exloo. In and around the village there are various indoor and outdoor activities for both young and old. The village consists of beautiful centuries-old farms and is also called the jewel of Drenthe. In addition to a supermarket, gas station, physiotherapist, bakery / konditorei, hairdresser, flower shop, hardware store, general practice, health / shoe shop, there are cozy restaurants. A stone's throw away are an outdoor forest pool, Kabouterland, Hunebed Center, Equestrian Center Exloo and an 18-hole golf course. The Boomkroonpad and Wildlands are worth a visit.

Since December 2020 we are the proud owners of Puur Borgervilla. We decided to buy a holiday home to see all the beauty that Drenthe and especially the hondsrug has to offer. The house is in an environment that we find beautiful. There is no better place to come to yourself. We are very happy to receive guests in our holiday home when we are not there ourselves.

Additional information

Golfpark Exloo has an 18-hole golf course in Exloo. The course had nine holes consisting of a section of 6 holes and a section of three holes, separated by the driving range. The track was partly on site of the Equestrian Center Exloo and has mature trees. Wikipedia Address: Valtherweg 27B, 7875 TA Exloo, The Netherlands Telephone: +31 6 54214347 Province: Drenthe
Equestrian Center Exloo is located on the Valtherweg in Exloo and offers the opportunity to practice equestrian sports as optimally as possible for as many disciplines as possible. Think of disciplines such as; dressage, jumping, driving, carousel and the Icelandic sport.
This heathland is located southwest of the village of Exloo. Exloo is a typical Drenthe esdorp with a beautiful village center. The village is surrounded by beautiful heaths such as the Molenveld. You will find beautiful flowering heather plants, a slightly hilly landscape, a fen and various hiking trails. The landscape that we find here has not always been like this, but has gradually emerged over thousands of years through human intervention. In the Golden Age, due to the boom in the economy, grain prices rose and it became attractive for farmers to use more wasteland. Around 1850 65% of Drenthe was covered with heather. At the end of the 19th century, the introduction of fertilizers caused a major change. The sheep became redundant as fertilizer suppliers. The heath could be burned down and used as agricultural land after conversion. That is why large parts of the Molenveld were reclaimed and the current site remained. This could not be made fertile. What was left of the heather was overgrown by grasses and trees due to lack of grazing. In the Middle Stone Age (from about 9700 BC) an immense swamp formed here, because the stream of the Hunze could not discharge enough water to the sea. For centuries it was a barrier between the Hondsrug and higher areas to the east. Nevertheless, people have ventured into the swamp as early as prehistoric times and tried to exploit it from the Middle Ages. The wet parts that lie closest to the ridge (the Exloosche Landen) were used by the inhabitants as pastures from an early age.
