The farmhouse is located in the center of the characteristic Drenthe village Diever, so you will find many facilities within walking distance. Get fresh bread rolls from the bakery in the morning, and enjoy a cozy terrace in the village in the evening. Of course Diever not only has several restaurants, cafes, shops and supermarkets, but also the famous Shakespeare open-air theater where a play by Shakespeare is performed every year.
The village is beautifully situated between Drenthe, Friesland and Overijssel. This offers all possibilities for a varied holiday. Of course you will visit the famous Giethoorn and in good weather the Weerribben is ideal for a day of canoeing or renting a boat.
On the Drenthe side, about 10 km away, is the national park Dwingelderveld (the largest wet heath area in Western Europe with 60 km of hiking trails and 40 km of cycling paths), with the so characteristic Drenthe moors.
Towards Friesland, lies the national park Drents-Friese Wold (one of the largest national parks in the Netherlands with its 32 marked hiking trails and many cycling paths). Both offer plenty of walking-riding and biking trails.
Downtown? Assen and Zwolle are easily accessible. Emmen (with its beautiful zoo), the shopping city of Groningen (Martinitoren, courtyards, comics museum) and the German border are also less than 1 hour's drive from Diever.
With 18 large and smaller amusement parks, Drenthe is of course also a perfect destination for children! There are more than 25 museums for the whole family (with a wide variety of specialities!)
Very well maintained complete holiday home, where everything has been thought of in the furnishings (and if not, we are happy to help you!)
