Comfortable, new apartment, situated on the top floor of the 'Lychnidos Residence 2'. Quietly located 10 minutes walk from the center of Ohrid. With beautiful views of the city, the castle and the mountains of the Galicica National Park. In close proximity to the historic center, shops, traditional and trendy restaurants and of course Lake Ohrid.
The apartment is made as ecologically as possible. You will find everything you need, but no unnecessary equipment and no television. A place of tranquility with exactly what is needed for a great stay.

We are Petra and Clemens, seen a lot of the world, but a few years ago, became enchanted by this beautiful Balkan country, with its clean, crystal clear lake, the National Parks, the cultural heritage, the international cuisine and the extremely friendly and hospitable people . After some time we were lucky enough to be able to get a nice, centrally located apartment, so that a dream became reality. Later a second one was added. We would like to introduce you to it.

Explanation of prices

If the tenant wishes to cancel a booking, the tenant must always confirm this by e-mail to the landlord (even if this has already been communicated by telephone).
The following amounts will be charged by the lessor, depending on the date of written cancellation by the lessee:
-Cancellation more than 3 months before the start of the rental period: free of charge.
-Cancellation between the 90th and 60th day before the start of the rental period: 25% of the rental price.
-Cancellation between 59th and 30th day before the start of the rental period: 50% of the rental price.
-Cancellation less than 30 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the rental price.
If the tenant announces on the commencement date or during the rental period that he will not use the rented property (anymore), he will continue to owe the full rental price.

The apartment is new and furnished with the greatest care, which is why we prefer not to have children as guests. The same applies to pets, by the way. Parties and events are not allowed. Ohrid is a paradise for culinary enthusiasts. Traditional eateries and trendy restaurants alternate. Despite inflation, prices are still incredibly low here, not the most important thing, but a nice side effect. You swim in Lake Ohrid, one of the deepest lakes in Europe, 25 km, clean clear mineral water. There are numerous (small) beaches, including Kaneo-Beach, where mainly the locals stay, but there are also more luxurious, larger beaches. With a boat you can sail to the sources of the lake, here you will also find the monastery Naum. In the historic center of Ohrid (Unesco World Heritage), you will find the most important sights, including countless Orthodox churches, the amphitheater and the citadel. Of course, the outskirts of Ohrid, due to the proximity of National Parks, are ideal for outdoor sports.

By car from the Netherlands it is about 2300 kilometers, mainly on motorways. But you do pass beautiful cities, such as Prague, Vienna and Budapest, which are always worth a stopover. You can fly from Eindhoven (Skopje) or Dortmund (Skopje and directly to Ohrid). Dortmund Airport is a small, well-arranged airport with a very reasonable parking fee. From Ohrid airport it is then another 10 minutes to Ohrid center (10 euros with a taxi). Flying is with Wizzair. Booking directly on the Wizzair site is the cheapest way. Rates are very acceptable (outside the high season), at the same time we have experienced the service as top.
