Villa Cerah

Villa Cerah is located directly on the fine volcanic sand beach in the authentic north of Bali near Lovina. From the partly covered terrace and seated in sun loungers under parasols, you have a magnificent view over the pool with "overflow", the beach and the Bali Sea. A small walk along the beach brings you to the fishing community of Lokapaksa. The locals are very friendly.

The villa is located near the town of Seririt. This village has several shops and a typical Balinese market. Seririt is so you want to visit from the beach on foot in 20 minutes. Next to Seririt you will find the famous Lovina town and beach.

Waterfalls:
The Gitgit waterfall is located about 10 km south of Singaraja. This waterfall is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Bali, about 1.5 km west of the village Gitgit. It lies at a height of of about 300 meters above sea mirror. You can also visit waterfall Sekumpul at a distance of 45 minutes drive from Lovina. After 350 steps up the stairs, you will see the breathtaking waterfalls Sekumpul. This waterfall is located 1.5 km west of the town Gitgit and has a height of 60 meters.

Menjangan Island (Deer Island):
It is an hour drive to Menjangan Island from the villa. Menjangan Island is a small island, by boat about half an hour, and northwest of Bali and is part of the Indonesian Archipelago. "Menjangan" in Indonesian means "deer". The name was given by the local population by observing herds of wild deer wich swim every spring over a distance of about 2 km to the island. It is a popular diving and snorkeling paradise. On the way to or from the island you can also visit the National Nature Reserve Park, which lies near Menjangan.

Temples: In the village of Banjar you can find the Buddhist temple "Brahma Vihara Arama" from where you have a splendid view. This view is unique in Bali and perhaps in all of Indonesia. If you are planning to visit the temple, wear long pants or a sarong. If you are not well dressed, you can get at the entrance (for a small donation) sarongs to wear during your visit. High in the mountains, about 30 km from Singaraja, in an area of ??unspoilt natural beauty, is the town of Bedugul. The town itself does not have much details, but from there you can visit the most popular Puru Ulun Danu, which lies in Lake Bratan. It is a very much photographed temple on the west side of the lake. For those who are interested in the cultural and historical aspects you can drive via the main road to the town of Singaraja to the place Sangsit. Here is the temple Pura Beji built. Pura Beji is a perfect example of the northern rococo style, with a strange off-angle symmetry. The temple was built with easy editing soft pink sandstone and the walls are decorated with statue`s of demons, snakes and devils. After a few minutes walk in north-easterly direction you will reach the temple Pura Dalem.

Air Panas (Banjar Hot Springs):
The Hot Springs "Air Panas" of Banjar, North Bali, are situated in the middle of the jungle. They are situated in a beautiful tropical garden. It has three pools, from one of which is suitable for swimming. There are jets, which give an invigorating massage. The water is of volcanic origin and has a pleasant constant temperature of 37 degrees Celsius. The water contains sulphide, making it especially ideal for people who suffer from rheumatic diseases. There are showers and changing rooms where you can change clothes. There is a small restaurant.

Dolphins:
Dolphins in Bali are swimming in the morning between 6 and 9 a.m. along the coast because of the large shrimp population. There are many dolphins and the chance that you will see these animals is 80%. Through the staff you can book an excursion for the next day. At 6 a.m. the boat will pick you up at the beach right in front of the villa. The price is about 100,000 rph per person. You can then also go snorkeling, but keep in mind that, from the water in the boat to be hoisted. The price for the snorkeling is not included in the spotting price and you will do this conveniently in advance to it agree with the fisherman.

Volcano Batur:
You can join a guided climb at the volcano. You will be picked up at at 03.00 in the morning at the villa. From the foot of the mountain you climb the mountain with a guide. After the climb, you can see a beautiful sunrise and views on the 3100 meter high mountain Gunung Agung, a sacred mountain for the Balinese.
