Holiday House Heraklion is located in the heart of Crete, the characteristic and historic city of Heraklion. Within walking distance of the world famous, 6000 year old archaeological site "Knossos", the highlight of which is the impressive palace of King Minos. The golden beaches and the sea with its crystal clear water are just 10 minutes away. The unspoilt nature, mountains and beautiful hiking trails start when you go about 3 km south.

Our holiday home is located in a quiet and neat area of south Heraklion, there is a bus stop 100 meters away that takes you to the cozy and historic center of Heraklion in 5 minutes. Holiday House Heraklion is a large apartment of 100m2, equipped with all the luxury and conveniences that we are used to in the Netherlands.

At the rear of the house you can enjoy the peace and quiet on your own private sun terrace, the ideal place to have breakfast together under the clear blue sky or enjoy a Greek glass of wine in good company. Due to the spacious layout of our holiday home you can stay here comfortably with up to 6 people. Of course, our smaller guests have also been taken into account, there is a baby bed, high chair, bouncer, toys and board games so that the children will never be bored.

Bedrooms:
In our holiday home you will find two spacious bedrooms, in the soothing colors of the Mediterranean palette. Both bedrooms welcome you with a comfortable king size bed and are connected to your own private sun terrace. It is the perfect oasis to enjoy your coffee in the morning while the sun casts its rays, or drink a glass of wine in the evening under the Cretan starry sky. An extra single bed is ready for you in one of the two bedrooms, while the other room has a baby cot.

On request, the living room can be turned into an extra third bedroom. The living room has sliding doors, giving you complete privacy.

Living room:
The light marble floor in the living room combined with modern details from nature gives the living room the right balance to relax and feel at home. In the living room there are board games for a pleasant evening, tourist books and information about Crete, a large flat screen TV and air conditioning.

Kitchen:
The spacious, modern kitchen has a large wooden table where 6 people can sit. There is a 4-burner electric stove with oven, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, coffee maker and kettle. All basic necessities such as cutlery, crockery and kitchen textiles are of course provided. And a bottle of our own family product, extra virgin olive oil, should not be missed in your Greek holiday home!

You also have access to a washing machine (in the bathroom) and an iron and ironing board. There is free WiFi and free parking in front of the property.

LOCATION

Holiday House Heraklion is located in a quiet side street of the pleasant boulevard "Leoforos Knossou". A short distance away (+/- 200 meters) there are 2 supermarkets, ATM, food and beverage outlets with cozy terraces, greengrocer, pharmacy and many others. stores.
There is a bakery on the corner of our street with delicious fresh bread and other delicacies every day. You can also sit outside on the terrace to enjoy a freshly squeezed orange juice or a nice cup of coffee.
There is a bus stop 100 meters away. The bus comes several times an hour and takes you to the center of Heraklion in 5 minutes.
The worldwide known archaeological "Palace of Knossos" is just 2 km away.
The beautiful sandy beaches and turquoise blue sea are located 4 km from our holiday home.
The highway to the east, west and south of the island is 500 meters away. With a rental car you can easily discover the beautiful and versatile Crete.
The airport is also only 4 km from our holiday home.

This beautiful and versatile Greek island is the ideal holiday destination and has something for everyone. Besides sun, sea and beautiful beaches, Crete has a rich history. Crete also has a lot to offer for nature lovers. You can take beautiful walks through the mountains and enjoy the unspoiled beauty of nature.
