Villa Chrysanthos

Spacious, very quiet villa in a shady olive grove. From the large terraces and private private swimming pool you have a phenomenal view over the sea and to the mainland during the day and at night. Peace, space and nature. Sea, golf, all water sports and walking.
The path the 'Corfu trail' offers beautiful hiking opportunities. The walk to the sea along the old waterworks is also unforgettable.
The house is spacious, relaxing, and the large terraces are almost like a second home, great to sit and just watch everything that happens at sea. Even in the evening when the fishing boats shine their lights it is lovely.
The pool is located behind the house and is surrounded by flowers and grapevines. There are seats everywhere in the shade, under a parasol or even better under an olive tree or under a palm.
For those who want more peace and quiet, there are three olive trees in the front garden with a hammock and also a long table for eating. From here the view to the village is almost as romantic as over the sea.
Nature is overwhelming but the old capital, Kerkyra, is also very worthwhile and is on the list of Unesco World Heritage. Venetian but also with the splendor of 19th century Paris.
Rides by car are a pleasure. Numerous small roads lead through the olive groves to various beaches and restaurants with your feet in the sea. Descriptions of trips, walks, of nice beaches and terraces are in the bookcase. In this cupboard also plenty of literature and thrillers, enough for a long vacation.
It is a house that is ideal for several families or for several generations within a family. Everyone can find peace in their own place in the shade.

We were a hardworking couple with a large family and happened to be in Corfu for a week. Unexpectedly, we suddenly found ourselves in front of a large empty house with the most beautiful view in the world and our imaginations started to work: imagine that you could sit here on the terrace with a glass of wine and just watch! And even after all these years of Corfu, our breath is still in our throat. And with us: children, grandchildren now, friends and now it has become a real family home.

Not far away in the village is also the supermarket. For almost every true Greek village, the village is not on the road, usually you need the car and walk through it to see it. Behind our house is the Corfu Trail, a path that turned from South to North. There is a beautiful shaded path that descends through the former waterworks of the city Kèrkyra to sea, the seaside resort. Descriptions of various walks are available. In spring and in autumn it is nice to walk from home. On top of our mountain is an abandoned monastery, hence the view of both sides of the island and the city of Kerkyra spectacular .. The site is 2000m2. In the garden of the house are three large old trees every hour of the day shade. Under the trees is a long dining table where one afternoon to eat or play games. From here there is a view of the picturesque village of Stavros and the small chapel on top of the heuvel.Rozen and oleanders bloom exuberantly, the cicadas scratch and you soest gradually asleep over your book while the more noisy part of the company are entertained by the pool behind the house ...
The house has two floors, huge marble terraces most of which lies under a canopy. Each bedroom has sliding wooden louvered doors on the terrace out. Early in the morning there can see the sun rise over the mountains of the mainland, a breathtaking sight. At night the sky is pitch black and then the spectacle of stars, lit ferries and small fishing boats, a game where you do not get tired raakt.En as the full moon slowly emerges, it is complete happiness. For children, the terraces ideal playground, they are safely shielded by white pillars and a single lockable gate.
In the summer sun and always warm. spring flowers always, almost always sunny and in the autumn peace, tranquility and a still-warm sea. In the area of ??2000m2 there is between the old olive trees and oleanders everyone a quiet shady spot.
Since the house on a hill, there is always more than the sea breeze and the temperature is slightly cooler in the summer.
