Our cozy holiday home is located on "Feriendorf Frankenau" and is located directly against the vast National Park Kellerwald-Edersee and not far from Winterberg and Willingen. The spacious six-person house consists of three bedrooms with two single beds each and a built-in closet. One of the bedrooms has an infra red sauna. A Wii game computer is also present.
Feriendorf Frankenau is a quiet holiday park with a beautiful location. On the park there is a (indoor) swimming pool, restaurant, E-bike rental, bar, tennis hall and manage, which can be used for a fee. Also a nice (fish) lake. In addition to swimming in the Edersee in good weather, there are also several outdoor swimming pools in the area.
The kitchen is equipped with a hot air oven and a fridge with freezer compartment and a Nespresso machine (and just coffee machine). In the living room is a cozy wood stove and a flat screen HD television with which almost all Dutch television channels (digital) can be received. There is also a radio / CD player and a DVD player with various DVDs and a Wii game console. There are also various board games available. The garden of the house has a terrace with picnic table. You can park your car at the parking lot near the house. Free WiFi is available in the house.
Surroundings: Frankenau is about three hundred kilometers from the Netherlands. The park is within walking distance of the center of Frankenau (with a number of restaurants, a supermarket and a bakery) on a small lake and surrounded by extensive forests. The picturesque surroundings with half-timbered houses, mountains and rivers are ideal for hiking. There is a choice of countless hiking trails of every level of difficulty, some of which start directly behind the holiday home. Diagonally opposite the house is an information center of the National Park Kellerwald-Edersee. Also the Edersee (the largest reservoir in Germany) and the famous (winter sports) places such as Winterberg and Willingen are in the immediate vicinity. The beautiful (old) cities such as Korbach, Frankenberg and Kassel are certainly worth a visit. In short, a wonderful environment in all seasons, both to relax and to be active.
Activities: You can go hiking, swimming, Nordic walking, cycling, horse riding, fishing, sailing, cross-country skiing, skiing, (sommer-) tobogganing, visiting cities or amusement parks, too many to mention. The house and the surroundings are also excellent for making trips. In the house there is a folder with many brochures about activities and facilities in the area. Below a number of ideas;

• visit to a game or amusement park,
• cities to visit such as Korbach, Frankenberg, Bad Wildungen etc.,
• cruise on the Edersee,
• to sail,
• ice skating.
