Mountain village Sieber The picturesque village of Sieber is located on the edge of the Harz National Park in the Sieber Valley, amidst extensive forests, challenging height differences and phenomenal views. All these ingredients make this paradise one of the most beautiful hiking areas in Europe. A nature reserve that is known for its unique Flora & Fauna and where new discoveries can be made during every adventure. In addition to the beautiful surroundings and the wonderful nature, and despite the fact that Sieber is a small village, there is also plenty to do in the village! Leisure park "Große Wiesen" For children, the relaxation area "Große Wiesen", an approx. 65,000 m2 park within a 3-minute walk, has a large adventure playground. Here they can climb and clamber to their heart's content, or whiz down the high slide. There is also a mini golf in the park and an outdoor swimming pool with children's pool. But the park also offers many relaxation options for the older generation. It has a beautiful pond, and extensive well-manicured lawns with beautiful flower beds. Here you can enjoy a nice walk without too much effort. Nature experience trail Halfway up the mountain meadow at the playground is an "Überdimensionale" or life-size bench, where humans and animals seem to have become little gnomes. Here you can be sure to take some nice holiday photos! Hiking in Sieber is also a fun adventure for children. Along the route of the "nature experience trail" they can discover interesting facts about, for example, the trees and wild animals. In addition, there are various active elements such as a „Köhlerei“, balance beam, giant wind chimes, barefoot path, and many more exciting things. There are also several German poems and songs hidden on the trees. More... Panoramaweg The Panoramaweg, a walking route that encloses Sieber like a cloverleaf. During this walk(s), the name „Panorama“ says it all, beautiful views over the village of Sieber can be enjoyed. From one of the many viewpoints you can also have a beautiful view of Klein Holland, and vice versa from Klein Holland there is a beautiful view of the higher mountain meadows. The Panoramaweg is also part of the much larger "Rundwanderweg". Grote Kulmke For those who like to take a walk in the woods, but find the height differences too strenuous, the „Große Kulmke“, located just outside the village, is a wonderful alternative. Here you can enjoy the beautiful surrounding nature while walking on a long and firm road and also enjoy the surrounding height differences without too much effort. The water of the Kulmke flows peacefully next to the paths, and the flora and fauna that are present grow and flourish all around. And those who pay close attention may also be lucky enough to spot small and large forest animals. More highlights and walking pleasure In addition to the small(er) hiking trails in and around Sieber, larger hiking trails also cross the path, such as: The Harzer Baudensteig part 2 and part 3 (also part of the Harzer Wandernadel), and the European long-distance route number 6. And the route to the Großer Knollen and the Hanskühnenburg takes you to the most beautiful highlights! Restaurant "Dachstübchen The cozy authentic restaurant "Dachstübchen", right next door, offers delicious typical German evening meals and children's dishes! In summer you can also sit and eat in the beer garden.
