Our Ferienhaus "Hochwald" is a modern holiday home with multiple accommodations and is beautifully situated in picturesque Bad Sachsa. It offers a detached chalet with private garden, a 2 pers. en-suite room and two 2-pers. Apartments.

This apartment is equipped with an open kitchen, a modern living room, a spacious bedroom with bathroom.

Bad Sachsa is a holiday resort on the sunny south side of the Harz, about 350 km from the Dutch border. The Harz and Bad Sachsa are a paradise for hikers, mountain bikers and motorcyclists. Various hiking and mountain bike trails even literally start in our backyard.

Before "the iron curtain" was lifted, Bad Sachsa was the last resort in West Germany. Here and there you can still find the silent witnesses such as the watchtowers of the VoPos (Volkspolizei DDR) in the landscape. Strolling or walking along and over the former minefields is a special experience. Even without researching that chapter, this chapter is clearly presented in the Grenzlandmuseum Bad Sachsa.

If you want to relax after all the outdoor activities, you can go to the various restaurants and bars, except in the garden. But there is also plenty to do for sportier activities. In Salztal Paradies, a 10-minute walk from us, you can skate all year round in the indoor ice rink. Next to the ice rink is an Olympic swimming pool, a subtropical swimming paradise with sauna and wellness, "Regenbogenland" an indoor playground. A family restaurant completes the whole.

Within a 5-minute walk, in the park at the Smeltzteig, you can use the free outdoor gym. There you will also find the canoe pond, the miniature golf course and you can skim over the water, hanging from the cable car. Those who want even more action should try the climbing hall at Ravensberg Basecamp, exciting and safe at the same time. There is no getting bored in Bad Sachsa.

In addition to everything that can be done within walking distance, the Harz as a whole is also extremely versatile. Within a radius of 60 minutes by car you will find beautiful half-timbered cities such as Duderstadt, Goslar, Göttingen, Wernigerode and Quedlinburg. A ride on the Harzersmallspurbahn is also a wonderful experience for everyone. Who likes to take a route walk or bike ride; we will pick you up, with or without a bicycle, at your end point.
