Fun facts about the Vosges
- A typical aspect of this region is ‘ferme-auberge’ - having a meal at the farm. A restaurant is only officially allowed to call itself a ferme-auberge if a minimum of 51% of the meat, vegetables and fruit was produced by the farm itself.
- The round tops of the Vosges are called ‘ballons’, French for ‘bulbous mountains’.
