An oasis of peace” that is how we would like to characterize this house. An environment consisting of wide views, the scent of lavender and a view of fields full of sunflowers. In short, all the ingredients are there to fully enjoy your well-deserved holiday.

When you enter the estate of 12 ha. drive up through an entrance gate, at the end of this dead-end road you will find a spacious villa for eight people. It was rebuilt in 2012 according to the original architecture, but furnished in a modern style. In doing so, use has been made of the means and materials that make your home so pleasant.

The private swimming pool (10 x 4 m) is located at the rear of the house; where privacy can be capitalized! From the patio you have access to the pool, where you can either sit at the table under the newly built pergola (2018) or around the pool on one of the comfortable sun loungers.
The view here is phenomenal: you really feel like God here in France!
As just reported, there is a new pergola, but we have left the photos with the umbrellas (which are still there), because they give a complete picture of the situation and environment.

The covered patio with complete outdoor kitchen is a blessing for the lazy, balmy evenings that are so numerous in the southwest of France.

The manager of this estate lives approximately 125 m away; you pass their property on your way to the property you are renting. You have the luxury and possibility to use the pool of the manager in addition to your private swimming pool (described above) (in consultation). Its spacious swimming pool (no less than 15 x 5 m) is situated against a hill and offers a truly fantastic view of the rural surroundings. The photos - you will find them at the end of the photo presentation - describe this panorama many times better than we can express in words.

The children in the pool and you with a glass of delicious wine on the terrace; everyone is at their best here. And if you want to have dinner without the children in one of the wonderful restaurants in the area, the babysitter can be arranged quickly. The manager loves good food and can arrange catering for you by a private chef on request. So let yourself be pampered by him for an evening and experience what the people before you were able to experience before.

On the ground floor of the house you will find a beautiful full-size Boretti kitchen-cum-living room with a beautiful wood-burning stove. This kitchen is ideal for preparing full meals; all necessary equipment is available and you will lack nothing in terms of crockery and other items.
The wood-burning stove takes the cold out of the air in the spring and autumn, making it pleasant to stay until the late hours.

Between the kitchen and the lounge there is a passage to 2 bedrooms, which together share a bathroom with bath and separate shower. The separate toilet can also be used as a guest toilet. The other 2 bedrooms are located on the first floor and each has its own bathroom: both with shower, double sink and toilet. All bedrooms are equipped with box-spring beds (90 x 200 cm).

The silence of the environment, sometimes a car, sometimes a tractor, often turns breakfast into brunch. Here you can really relax.
And what makes it even more fun: in this region the baker still bakes the bread himself and butter, cheese and eggs come directly from the farmer. In the rustic village of Castelnau-Montratier, a five-minute drive from the house, you can get everything you need for everyday life and the people of the Spar are also very friendly and helpful. In the area you will also find the larger supermarkets and in twenty minutes you are in cities such as Cahors and Montauban. Markets (including flea markets) and shops with a variety of regional products show that life is good here.

If you want to relax and stroll in the beautiful villages, but also want some exercise, you can do that on the nine-hole golf course “Roucous”. This is approximately a 3-minute drive away, in the midst of a hilly landscape. In consultation with the manager and for a small fee you can also use electric bicycles.
Another option is canoeing on one of the raging rivers, such as the Lot or the Aveyron. There is a calmer version for the children. An elliptical trainer is also available at the house.
