Gite Le Pavot.
Come and enjoy the peace and the view with us. The gite is a spacious and bright holiday home with its own entrance. Tastefully decorated and has a large window at the front and rear. You can see the mountains of Mont Beuvray and Haut Folin from here. You will find our Gîte Le Pavot at 725 km from Utrecht in the lower tip of the Morvan in the middle of France.
Le Pavot is on the ground floor and suitable for 5 people. A bed can be added in the bedroom for a 6th person. It is also possible to place a cot and high chair. Le Pavot has a fully equipped kitchen with oven, dishwasher, microwave, large refrigerator with freezer, Nespresso and/or coffee maker. The bathroom is heated and has a walk-in shower and thermostatic tap. There is a separate toilet. For the cool days you can light the wood stove and there are electric radiators. In the shed you can use the washing machine, there are also garden chairs, umbrellas and a BBQ.

The holiday home has a sunny fenced private terrace with beautiful views,
where a spectacular sunset can be seen in the evening. Afterwards you will enjoy the beautiful starry sky.
And you can also use our large garden with various seating areas. There is a vegetable garden and herb box where you can pick vegetables, fruit and herbs for your own use.
In high season there are options for table d`hotes meals.
We now also have a swimming pool to cool off.
Local amenities .
The nearest large village, Etang sur Arroux, is 4 km away where you can do all the necessary shopping. Here you will find 2 bakers, 2 butchers,
2 supermarkets, dentist, vet, post office, drugstore, ATM, gas pump and other nice shops.
There are wonderful restaurants, 1 of which is already 2 km away from the Gîte. You can also reach this restaurant on foot.
Area.
The pure and unspoilt landscape of the Morvan is very suitable for walkers, cyclists (mountain bike, racing bike and electric bicycle) and those seeking tranquility. A walking route has been set out directly from our gite. There is also a mountain bike trail near our house.
From La Chapelle-sous-Uchon a winding road leads up to the viewpoint at Uchon. You can reach it by car or, if you are in very good shape, by bike: Uchon is located at 681 meters, “the pearl of the Morvan” is worth a visit. At the top you have a phenomenal view. You will also find a geological phenomenon: Les Rochers du Carnaval.
A few well-marked walks have been set out around Uchon that lead you past even more striking rocks.
You can also be surprised by the farmer who moves his herd of cows to another pasture.

Swimming lake in Thil sur Arroux, swimming pools in Etang sur Arroux and Luzy, and of course the large lakes Lac de Pannecière and Lac des Settons. Saint Nizier sur Arroux beach on the Arroux.

autun
An old Roman city with many museums, cathedral, Roman theater, restaurants and terraces. There is also an 11-hole golf course, well worth checking out.
Wines
Burgundy is of course known for its wines. Well-known wine places within an hour's drive are Beaune and Meursault.
Dijon
Very nice town an hour's drive from the Gite. There is a nice city walk. The route is clearly described and is clearly visible on the ground by means of copper owls.
Buddhist Temple
There is also a Buddhist temple in La Boulaye. This is located in the middle of the rolling Burgundian hilly landscape, where you suddenly come across this Buddhist temple.
bibracte
The Mont Beuvray (821 meters) is the place where the Gauls founded their city: Bibracte in the Morvan. Archaeologists have uncovered the first remnants of this historic city. There is a museum there and there are several walking routes.
