Holiday homes in the French Pyrenees

Snowy mountain tops, a sparkling blue sky, breath-taking vistas and a rich history - the French Pyrenees are a great destination whatever your age. The splendid nature invites you on long hikes, mountain bike rides or simply to venture out in the Midi-Pyrénées. From November to February, the Pyrenees are also a great winter sports destination. There is literally nothing but high points in this region. Take the picturesque village of St. Lary, high up on the col de Tourmalet. Or venture underground and pay a visit to the famous Grotte de Niaux. You can do all of this and more from your holiday home in the Pyrenees. Micazu offers you a vast choice. And because you book directly with the owner, you know exactly where you stand.

Cycling and hiking through picturesque villages

The Pyrenees are one of the high points of France, both figuratively and literally. It won’t surprise you that the mountains are beloved by cyclists from around the world. You pass numerous picturesque villages where time appears to have stood still, where the villagers pick up a fresh baguette every morning, play boules and take their time over a delicious French lunch. Over the weekend, you can visit quaint antiques fairs to browse typically French products. A day trip to the citadel of Carcassonne is also highly recommended. Don’t forget to visit Saint-Lizier, generally considered one of the most beautiful villages in France. And, lest we forget, the Pyrenees are the backdrop of the pilgrimage site of Lourdes. Be prepared for the hustle and bustle, as this famous little town attracts millions of pilgrims every year.
