Additional information

The village of Montbrun-les-Bains consists of two parts. In the old part with its picturesque streets are remnants of a feudal castle, a Romanesque church and bell tower that was part of the fortress walls. These walls are the fountains of "La Justice" and "du Bourreau" that tell you the story and the legends of the village. In the lower, modern part of Montbrun-les-Bains are shops, restaurants and a post office. Chosen as one of France's prettiest villages between Avignon and Sisters, in the heart of a region where nature is at any moment of the year. Located at the foot of the "Mont Ventoux" Montbrun-les-Bains has an average of 240 sunny days per year. The environment is emerging in many ways. Man has adapted perfectly to the natural environment virtually untouched.
Mont Ventoux is a 1912 meter high mountain in Provence and with the climax of the massif of the Baronnies and the highest peak of Vaucluse. The base covers about 26,000 hectares. Because of the altitude, and it always has been from afar to see, has earned him the nickname of Giant of Provence. At the top of the most favorable weather conditions discovers an extraordinary panorama of the entire chain of the Alps, the Mediterranean, the Gulf of Lion and Camargue, the lower valley of the Rhone and Avignon, Cevennes, the Massif Central and even the ' Notre-Dame de la Garde "in Marseille. The location and the differences in height of Mont Ventoux to the origin of a particular climatic situation that goes from the Mediterranean climate is a mountain climate. It has triggered a wealth of flora (400 species of flowers observed in five vegetation zones) and wildlife (including more than 100 species of birds). The weather station of the Mont Ventoux, each year the major temperature fluctuations fixed throughout the seasons. Snow maintains itself at the top average of 140 days per year. The fog is also a common feature on top of Mont Ventoux. Also violent storms may especially occur on the mountain itself. A Provencal proverb asserts that "when the Mont Ventoux has his hat, and Durance his jacket, then it will soon rain. Incidentally, with 240 sunny days per year the chance of rain is low.
