Les Maisons de Pompel

Peace, space and stunning views in picturesque village less than 3 hours from London. Cosy cottage with all modern conveniences. Starting point for walking, cycling, beach.

The house for rent is part of Les Maisons de Pompel, two original Picardy houses on an area of 3000 m2 in the medieval village Bernâtre.

Coming out of the backdoor or arriving through the side gate you enter the upper garden. Here you can enjoy the view, read, BBQ, or just do nothing in particular. At night it is completely dark and quiet with only the sound of owls. Opposite the house is a castle. The village of Bernâtre is indeed small. It only consists in about 20 houses. On the outskirts of the village is a walking / bike path that runs for about 20 kilometers to Abbeville. You can use the 4 bikes in the cave. At 4 km, is Auxi-le-Chateau with supermarkets, bakeries and the market on Saturday.

Pompel is the name of the main character in books for children Richard writes in Bernâtre during the winter. Les maisons de Pompel offers space, air, silence and inspiration. We welcome all questions and hope you will feel at home in Les Maisons de Pompel, as we do.
