The two main towns of the Lot region, Figeac and Cahors, and just over the border in the Aveyron department, Villefranche-de-Rouergue are all within a 40 minute journey from Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. The beautifully preserved medieval village of Rocamadour, the prehistoric cave paintings in Pech-Merle, the beautiful agricultural museum in Cuzals, and the thirteenth-century Chateau de Cenevières are also nearby and worth a visit.
