The Ariege is part of the Midi-Pyrenees.Met average more than 2000 hours of sunshine per year is one of the Midi-Pyrenees regions in France where the sunlight is strongest. On most of the territory of this region are 60 to 80 days of temperatures observed over 25 ° C. The Midi-Pyrenees for that matter can compete with the Mediterranean and the Rhone dal.Het spring is very early and already gives a taste of summer. This is the season that hikers and walkers are most popular. If there is snow on the peaks of the Pyrenees all the corn on the hills of Gascony and get the orchards of the Tarn et Garonne has violet pink. Between early April and late June, the average maximum temperatures between 16 ° C and 24 ° C.In July and August is here predominantly sunny and warm. Daumazan sur Arize (alt. 247 m) Daumazan lies on the edge of the northernmost foothills of the Massif du Plantaurel.Village Daumazan to late twentieth century has about 600 inhabitants. It is quite northern in the Ariège at the river Arize. The town was founded at the road between Montesquieu Volvestre and Mas-d 'Azil. It lies on a junction of roads to small villages in the area: La Bastide de Besplas, Campagne-sur-Arize and Montbrun-Bocage, Castex.Deze region was once largely inhabited by Cathars. Daumazan formerly belonged to the language of Langue d'oc.Aan the end of the twentieth century in Daumazan some special structures are concerned, little spectacular to see. This municipality has many, often dilapidated houses, a reasonable age, the character of Daumazan reflect well in earlier times. The narrow streets give this simple and small to extra clearly. Notable are the many flowers, trees and other crops Daumazan a colorful and cozy geven.De respect old people, mostly women, on the benches attached to the houses their twilight years, give clearer evidence of a distinctive atmosphere of small scale and geniality. The population is also extremely vriendelijk.Daumazan has other known times. On three walls in the village are the old weathered texts to decipher, which clearly tell us that this building was a hotel or a hotel / restaurant must have been. Three hotels for such a small town was a lot. Meanwhile they try in one of those buildings to pick up the thread again. Daumazan is another restaurant with a bar rich, well-is-where a very simple restaurant, but still. Daumazan owns a church building from the twelfth century in Romanesque style. In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries the church was enlarged and higher opgetrokken. In 1907 is part of the building until declared Monument Historique.
Bijenorchissen (Ophrys L'Abeille - apifera Ophrys - Bee Orchid) château.Hoe the longer I looked, the more fun I got: they look like clown kopjes.Lachebekjes, gay males against a petal stuck! Order of the exuberant nature in Ariège was easy to enjoy at the holiday park weg.Zowel Château Cazalères as in the immediate vicinity was too zien.Op the slope on which the Residence was built, was a steep boerenpad bos.Daar walked along the ruined castle wall, very quiet and beautiful! Flowers, butterflies, birds, deer, a place to longer long zijn.De first time that I was going to take a look there was a forty bijenorchissen in bloei.Ik had photos taken immediately happy because soon they were almost finished and less mooi.De bottom lip of this orchid looks like a bee, hence the naam.Deze red-list species is rare or very rare in the Netherlands and the bee orchid Vlaanderen.Toch seems to slowly expand, possibly by klimaat.Uiteraard the warmer it is protected, as in (northern parts) Frankrijk.Tekst Adri de Groot see www.vogeldagboek.nl
