'Domaine l'Arpent' is located in one of the most beautiful places in the Midi-Pyrenees at the foot of the Pic du Midi (2877m). If you dream of an UNFORGETTABLE HOLIDAY in France, but are also looking for the convenience of staying in a LUXURY HOLIDAY HOME with PRIVATE POOL, then this is your destination.

Philip & Liana van de Vendel would like to welcome you to their (only!) luxury gîte, which is adjacent to their charming Gascon farmhouse from 1785. The recently renovated and comfortable holiday home is the epitome of charm, thanks to the architectural details and the attractive furnishings with authentic materials.

From the entire site you have spectacular and unobstructed views of the chain of the beautiful Pyrenees. From sunrise to sunset you can fully enjoy the passing clouds in all colors around the mountain peaks.

The adults-only gîte is equipped with all conveniences and comfort and equipped with luxurious cooking utensils, beautiful linen, soft bath and towels and a comfortable Queen-size bed with panoramic views from the bed. A perfect place to relax, refuel and enjoy all the good that South-West France has to offer.

The swimming pool is located on the south side and is open from mid-May to mid-October and can be booked with exclusive private use. Use of the swimming pool is entirely at your own risk. Domaine l'Arpent expressly does not provide supervision and accepts no liability for the use. Since the owners live on the same property, nudist recreation is not permitted.

Our secret? Like a hidden gem, Domaine l'Arpent is surrounded by pure nature where you can enjoy walking or cycling and tour extensively by car or motorbike. Various short and long walking routes start right on the doorstep. The rolling hills are rich in deer, badgers, foxes, birds and other wild game. If you prefer to go shopping or visit a city, the French cities of Toulouse, Lourdes and Pau are within close distance. .

The departmental triangle 'Haute-Garonne | Gers | Hautes-Pyrénées' is rich in history and culture and is known for its original villages, impressive stalactite caves, imposing castles and beautiful cirques (Cirque).

This region is an El Dorado for the adventurous among us, but above all a true paradise for those seeking absolute peace and quiet. Here you will find peace, comfort and plenty of time for yourself and each other. A place where you can come to yourself to experience inner peace and more depth.

We were both born in 1971. We grew up in small villages in the middle of the Netherlands. In 1988 sparks flew between us and after our first holiday in the mountains we knew: “We want to live in the mountains!”
Since 2021 the time has come. All puzzle pieces come together here on this characteristic Gascon Farmhouse (1785): breathtaking view of the chain of the Pyrenees, serene tranquility and nature as nature should be. Will you come and enjoy the inner silence with us?

Conditions

Daily arrival and departure (minimum 5 nights) . Arrival 5:00 PM / departure 10:00 AM.
A stay includes gas, water, electricity, kitchen linen and (dish) detergent.
Final cleaning € 150 (mandatory)
Linen option for € 15 pp: the comfortable beds are already made upon arrival with beautiful hotel quality linen (cotton satin).
Towel option at € 15 pp: extra soft towels and large foutas for the sun loungers by the pool . Per person: guest towel (30x50cm), towel (50x100cm), shower towel (70x140cm), beach fouta (100x200cm) and bathrobe.
Option for private use of swimming pool : €250/week
The gite is equipped for 2 adults. Additional guests are not allowed.
No pets.
A deposit of €300 is required for every reservation. The shared services provided to protect us as owners against loss or damage. We understand that unforeseen accidents can happen.

Cancellation policy

Cancellation by tenant: If the tenant cancels up to 2 months before the date of arrival, the cancellation costs amount to the deposit and the deposit will be refunded. If you cancel within 2 months before the date of arrival, the cancellation costs amount to 100% of the rental sum as well as the deposit and there will be no refund.
Cancellation by the landlord: If circumstances or force majeure force the owner to cancel, the tenant will be informed immediately. In this case, the lessor will reimburse the rent already paid in full or in part without owing any compensation. The tenant has no other right than to reclaim the amount already paid. The landlord is never liable for the costs of any services reserved by the (co-)tenant himself (e.g. airline tickets, car rental, bus/train travel, etc.).

Shops | necessities of life: All other amenities can be found within 10 minutes by car: - In Boulogne-sur-Gesse, only 8 kilometers away, there are 2 large supermarkets (Intermarché, open from Monday to Saturday: 8:30-19:30 and Aldi (open daily: Monday to Saturday 08:30-20:00 and Sunday morning 08:30-12:30), as well as 2 bakers, butcher, greengrocer, pharmacy, tobacconist/newsagent, hairdresser, florist, optician, post office, car garage , garden centre, hardware store, 2 bar, a beer brewery/brasserie and various options for eating out - In Castelnau-Magnoac, only 11 kilometers away, there is a large supermarket (Intermarché, open from Monday to Thursday: 9.00 am -13:00 and 15:00-19:30, Friday and Saturday: 09:00-19:30 and Sunday morning: 09:00-12:00), as well as a bakery, butcher, greengrocer, brocante (open: Thursday-Friday: 10:00-18:00, Saturday-Sunday : 10am-2pm), hairdresser, barber, post office and some bars and restaurants, as well as e Lac de Castelnau-Magnoac where the banks are equipped with picnic tables and barbecues. The oldest astronomical observatory in the world (1882) can be visited here. To reach the top with bistro/restaurant, you can use the cable car from the La Mongie ski area; 1000m altitude difference in 15 minutes. Reservations in advance are recommended.
