Step into the rich history of Le Logis Hunting Lodge, which has its origins in 1098 and was built around 1626 as a Hunting Lodge on old foundations. It has been expanded over the centuries and was last renovated in 1883.
We, Vera and Max, have restored and furnished the Jachtslot ourselves with love and respect for the history. Recently, Le Logis Hunting Lodge has been re-recognized by the Dordogne Tourist Association and awarded a 4-star rating, guaranteeing a high-quality experience for the next 5 years. Our Hunting Lodge now consists of four unique houses: La Wobbel, our personal residence, and the guest houses La Mazilière, La Dronne, and La Grange. La Grange, a former barn, dates, according to research, from the 17th century and is tastefully decorated with stylish sanitary facilities. All houses have their own entrance, luxurious living room and fully equipped kitchen. Upon arrival, the beds are made and provided with towels. Hunting lodge Le Logis, located in Chenaud in the west of the Dordogne, offers an ideal base for visiting Bordeaux, St. Emilion, Bergerac, Cognac and the Medoc. In the middle of the most important wine regions in the world, and close to Angoulême and Périgueux, Hunting Lodge Le Logis promises an unforgettable stay. Our 3 hectare site is home to old lime trees, oaks, plane trees, and an impressive bamboo forest. The backyard borders the small lake, La Dronne, with a deck that hangs over the water and where you can enjoy the passing canoes. Relax in our vegetable garden with plum, apple, pear, walnut, fig and cherry trees. For enthusiasts, there is a 9-hole par 3 P&P golf course and a 6-hole foot golf course. We also have a swing, table tennis table, and a badminton set for even more entertainment. Rent one of our ceramic BBQs (Kamado) for outdoor cooking or enjoy our other outdoor BBQs.
For water sports enthusiasts, we also offer 2 SUP boards for 'SUPing' on the river.
