The Dordogne is one of the oldest areas of France. At the southern tip of Correze, where the Lac du Causse lies, the Mediterranean climate begins, making temperatures even in the winter pleasant.
The Lac du Causse
is about 90 ha. large and has a walking path / pedestrian path of about 7 km. There are also various natural routes deployed. On one of the banks there are two big sandy beaches where the little ones can swim. On the beach are playgrounds for the children and lawns with trees and picnic tables. At the Nautique club you can surf and water ski, tennis and rent bicycles during the high season. Horse riding and golf (18 hole golf club Brive) are on respectively. 3 and 10 km away. Fish (including carp) can be licensed.
In the high season there is a bread service on the park itself; 2 km away is a small supermarket and in nearby Larche (5km) there are numerous shops and a weekly market. The larger markets and supermarkets are in Terrasson and Brive, both about 10 minutes by car. In Sarlat is a large covered market with regional products in a former church. A holiday full of peace and space in a comfortable family
holiday home on the border of Limousin / Dordogne (Perigord); France at its best!

My name is Mary, I love France and the reason I have chosen for a holiday home in the Dordogne is that it is easy to reach and has something for everyone. Hills, castles, caves, lakes, rivers, beautiful towns, picturesque villages with nice markets and a pleasant climate. I have been renting for about 10 years and the experience is fine.
