Like so many people, we also dreamed of a house in France. We have been coming to the beautiful Dordogne/Perigord Noir for many years. This area had stolen our hearts and we also stood with our noses in front of the windows of the real estate agents. Unfortunately, the internet was not yet a common good at that time. In 2000 we found our holiday home La Bouffardie in Cenac et Saint Julien. The house stood stately and perky (in good architectural condition, very important in that period) smiling at us on a sun-drenched day in March. Located in an inhabited area, not in the middle of nowhere, but with a beautiful view and lots of privacy. Also all famous tourist sites, such as Sarlat, Domme and La Roque Gageac literally around the corner. You understand, the purchase was then quickly settled.
However, lazily sitting back and enjoying the good French life was not one of them. After many years of hard work, we have completely renovated the house to our requirements. The beautiful swimming pool has been constructed and we hope that more people can enjoy this unique place. Experience this experience in La Bouffardie, if on a beautiful warm summer evening, with a glass of wine in your hand, you watch a hot air balloon gently slide past in the sky and look out at the beautiful surroundings from the edge of the pool!
We hope to welcome you !
Kind regards, Rien and Ellen
