The house is semi-detached with a garden to the front, side and back. At the front is parking space for two cars. In the secluded garden at the back is a large terrace of 30 m2 with a pergola with grape vines that give delicious grapes in September, October. In the intimate secluded part of the garden on the side of the house is a cozy sitting area. The garden and terrace have several seating areas, so you can choose shade or sun.

The electric heating in all rooms and the bathroom and the wood stove in the kitchen diner provide a pleasant warmth. The living area consists of the kitchen diner and an attractive lounge with a loft and a striking fireplace. In the central hall is the bathroom with shower and sink and a separate toilet. There are 3 spacious bedrooms on the first floor. We keep one bedroom private. The house is furnished with care and attractively. It has a cozy brocante-like interior and is fully equipped. There is Wifi and Canal Digitaal ensures that you can watch all Dutch TV channels.
The kitchen is fully and comfortably furnished with all conceivable appliances and more than enough crockery, pans and cutlery. The washing machine is in the storage room.
Your dog is very welcome. The garden is closed and clear. In the barn you will find 2 barbecues, garden chairs, a lounger and the parasol.

Area

Nature is overwhelming with beautiful forests, babbling rivers, waterfalls and many beautiful flora and fauna.
There are many small and large lakes in the Morvan. The best known are the Lac de Panneciere and the Lac des Settons. Today, the lakes with their secluded sandy beaches attract many holidaymakers. You can not only sunbathe, but also fish, sail, waterski and canoe. You can also look for something more adventurous with rafting and kayaking. You can also go a little quieter: 30 km away, there is a 70 km cycle path on the beautiful Canal du Nivernais in flat terrain.
The house is within walking distance of the Lac de Pannecière, the largest lake in the Morvan. At the lake are sandy beaches with wonderful bathing water and sanitary facilities. There is also a restaurant with a terrace here. This lake is also very popular with fishermen. They fish for carp, bream, pike and zander.

Information about the Morvan

The Morvan is located in Burgundy on the border of four departments, Nièvre, Côte d'Or, Saône-et-Loire and Yonne. With its crystal clear streams and overgrown forest paths, you can imagine yourself in the Shire from the setting of Lord of The Rings. The hilly, rugged landscape is largely covered with coniferous and deciduous forests. In 1970 the Morvan was declared a protected area. As a result, the landscape has remained pure and untouched. You can make beautiful walking, cycling or mountain biking tours from our house. No less than 4,000 km. hiking trails, equestrian tracks and cycling routes crisscross the area. In the sky you can see the buzzard hunting. But you can also spot the hoopoe or the kingfisher. A good pair of binoculars will give you a lot of pleasure. Of course there are also deer, roe deer, wild boars, foxes, badgers, hares and rabbits in the woods and fields. Sturdy walking shoes are indispensable in the rugged terrain.

You can eat well in the Morvan. Nice restaurants with menus for 15-20 euros are more the rule than the exception. And the food is good. We can make a few suggestions. You don't have to travel far for wine either. After all, we are here in Burgundy. In Ouroux en Morvan there is a cave, where you can taste and buy delicious wines. When you arrive at our house, there will certainly be a bottle of red waiting for you!
