Le Lainsecq

The holiday home with swimming pool is located in a small village (hameau) with about 15 houses. From the “Route du Soleil, the A6” you drive on local roads (the so-called Routes Nationales) to “Le Champmartin” in about 45 minutes. Not remote, but lots of peace and quiet and little tourism. The village is part of the commune of “Lainsecq” where a pizzeria “L'Escala” is also located.
The house has its own charging station, making it ideal for people with an electric car!

The basic necessities can be found 4 km away in Thury, where there is a local shop, a butcher and a pharmacy. A larger town 10 km away is Saint Sauveur. Here you will find supermarkets, banks (ATMs), pharmacy, doctor and various local shops. Toucy (20 minutes' drive) has a pleasant and large morning market on Saturdays. Local farmers and breeders offer their vegetables and fruit here, but also rabbits, chickens and pigeons.
A restaurant that is well worth a visit is "Le Moulin" in the town of Mezilles. About a 20-minute drive from the house, but L'Escale in Lainsecq also serves a very good and affordable 3-course menu for lunch. In the evening they even deliver pizzas to your home!

Large cities in the immediate vicinity are Auxerre (50 km), Clamecy (25 km) and Chablis. Auxerre has an authentic center with a beautiful large cathedral, but also an extensive shopping area on the edge of Auxerre. Both Chablis and Sancerre have a cozy old center, where you can enjoy a lunch or dinner with the famous wines.

There are also a number of beautiful castles in the area, there are beautiful hiking trails and mountain biking trails
In short, plenty to do!
