Back to the real French countryside of your dreams? Relaxing in the hammock in the sun? Enjoy a nice drink in the evening and then a lovingly cooked meal?
Le Temps Serein is an old farmhouse from the 18th century, which was ecologically renovated by us, Myriam and Piet, in 2021 with natural materials and respect for the traditional farmhouse style of the Segala.
We offer two spacious rooms with a capacity of 3 people each and this either as a bed and breakfast formula with an option for dinner or as a complete holiday home with a downstairs area, dining room, lounge and kitchen. Our site is 8ha in size and consists of a garden, vegetable garden, an orchard that we have built, a vineyard and pastures for our horses.
In addition, there is a grove with a lovely river La Serene, down in the valley where you can dream away, away from everything. We are located on the edge of a small village, very quiet with a beautiful view of the meadows, the valley and a large forest in the distance. In the garden we have provided terraces in various places and also hammocks and sun loungers so that you can relax perfectly with us.
Our region is known as the land of 100 valleys, always sloping between hills and valleys with streams and rivers. By the way, there are two larger rivers close to us, the Aveyron and Viaur where you can swim and kayak. In addition, the Aveyron is the department with the most 'beaux villages de France', close to us are Villefranche de Rouergue, Najac, Belcastel, Sauveterre de Rouergue, Conques. Since we are so close to Lot and Tarn, you can also go to Figeac, Capdenac or Cordes-sur-Ciel, Penne, all places that are definitely worth a visit. We like to hike ourselves, so we are happy to give suggestions for all levels.
The breakfast consists mainly of home-made jams, home-made bread, yogurt, chocolate spread and many other local products. Same in the evening, where we like to plunder our vegetable garden for you, depending on the season, combined with the specialties of the region or all kinds of goodies.
We also offer initiations such as horsemanship, communicating with horses and, if the season allows, a chocolate making workshop.
