Holiday home in Northern Bohemia

Northern Bohemia is also called the ‘Czech Paradise’ (Ceský Ráj). Indeed, this heavenly region has everything you could possibly need to make the most of your stay in the Czech Republic. The extensive forests and the splendid nature invite you to go for long walks and bicycle rides, and this mountainous region is also ideal for mountain bikers. And with rivers such as the Elbe and the Moldau, this region is popular with water sports lovers. The rich culture and history of Northern Bohemia is reflected in its many burghs, fortresses, castles and monasteries you can see here. Yes, there are more than enough reasons to opt for a holiday in Northern Bohemia. And because Micazu is a firm believer in direct contact, you’ll always book your accommodation directly with the owner, who will able to tell you all you need to know about all the things to see and to in the local area.

A great destination both in summer and winter

Northern Bohemia is a superb holiday destination for any age and in any season. The western parts of the region are home to a splendid natural area that is often called ‘the Switzerland of the Czech Republic’. It’s particularly popular with mountain sports enthusiasts. In the Melnik area, you’ll find extensive vineyards where excellent Czech wines are produced. We also highly recommend the recreational lake of Machovo, which is very popular during the summer for a holiday with the children. But during the rest of the year, you’ll still find plenty to do in Northern Bohemia. Between November and February, it’s even a fine winter sports destination, and, in any season, any month of the year, a city trip to Prague rounds off a great stay in this lovely country.
