The apartment is located on the 1st floor above the hair salon of the owner. It is a loft-like apartment: 1 central room with a partition for shower / toilet. The space is about 50m2 and is built in colonial style, so high pointed roof / ceiling and a beautiful wooden floor. The apartment has 7 windows around, which can be opened and closed with shutters, so you always make the best use of the wind. The room has a kitchenette with two electric cookers, a refrigerator, basic crockery, cutlery and glassware. There is a pressure cooker and coffee machine available. There is a table with two chairs and a nice corner sofa. The sleeping area consists of a spacious double bed. We provide clean and fresh bedding! Behind the bed is the 'wet' room with shower cabin and a toilet behind the wall. There is a separate sink available. The room has a hanging rack for clothes, large mirror, iron, TV and 2 air-conditioners: a fixed and a mobile. This can be placed where necessary. The landlord provides clean towels, basic kitchen herbs and there is a cold beer for our guests on arrival! Next to the apartment is a parking lot where a (rental) car can be parked. The gate will close at night, so safe in terms of parking.
Pietermaai is a super lively and cozy neighborhood with many restaurants and bars, live music and occasionally a party. Usually it is quiet around 00:00, but for people who really seek peace this is not a good location. The apartment itself has no outdoor space, but Pietermaai is the nicest garden on the island, so enjoy! We can help our guests with transport to and from Hato, rental car, trips & tricks on Curacao.
I am Jolanda and have been living on Curacao for a while with my 2 daughters. I have a salon in Pietermaai and got the chance to buy the apartment above it. I have done that! It has now been renovated and we have prepared the holiday rental. The management of the apartment is done by Tjarrie. As a potential tenant you also have contact with her, but if there is something, you are always welcome in the salon (also for a last minute holiday coupe of course)
