Villa Flamingo in Julianadorp

Our Villa Flamingo has just been completely painted, has a cozy and modern interior and has been given a brand new swimming pool! :-) We have fast internet via new fiber optics (100MB).

The beautiful beaches of Blue Bay Beach and Kokomo Beach are right around the corner! :-)

Villa Flamingo has four bedrooms and two bathrooms and is suitable for families and groups of up to 8 people.

We are pleased to offer our guests the following extras:

VIP services:
* Standard check-in time is 4:00 PM; If possible, we offer you a free early check-in
* Standard check-out time is 10am; If possible, we offer you a free late check-out
* For a guaranteed late check-out we charge half a day's rent. We will then block an extra night in our agenda, so that you can stay in the villa until departure to the airport

We live in Julianadorp ourselves and know the island very well. We are always available and happy to help you plan your holiday before arrival, but also during your stay, including suggestions and reservations for the best restaurants, events, concerts, etc.

We always advise our guests to rent a car, because the island has so much to offer. For our guests we have a few - fully electric - Nissan Leafs (free charging at our own charging station on the Grenenweg next to the villa).

The economic use of energy and water is very important to us. That is why we have chosen to charge energy and water separately. However, the energy consumption of the air conditioners, refrigerator and other equipment in the villa is low. The average costs are about Eur 75 per week. Based on meter readings and actual utility rates, we will settle the amount at the end of your stay.


The Julianadorp district:
Julianadorp falls under the Groot Piscadera area. The first houses were built in 1928. They were 40 storey houses. This district is called "old Julianadorp". Between 1945 and 1950, low-rise homes were built adjacent to these high-rise buildings, which were distributed in the neighborhood on the 3 residential hills. The lower sections were water collection areas. Tropical construction was taken into account, so that the wind direction, for example, determined the direction in which each house was located. Julianadorp was then also called the Shell district. The houses were built for employees and management of the Shell refinery. At the time, the area was closed off with barriers. Julianadorp has approximately 350 homes. When Queen Juliana visited Curaçao in 1955, Julianadorp was officially given her name and the plaque on the monument in the school garden was unveiled by the Queen.
