Along the Berwinne in Dalhem, just across the border from Maastricht, an old water mill. It is a small (max. 5 persons) but very cozy cottage in a magical spot in the Herve. Here we speak French. Eat one French. Behaves one is French.
In the backyard a piece of wood with original period features and stunning views of the evening fairy-lit Eglise Saint-Pancrace. The house is our carefully furnished with fine antiques and stuff. The garden is a haven of peace and is against the ancient ramparts of the ancient village. Maastricht city center is accessible by car within minutes. In the lovely town of Visé is really great shopping. Exclusive boutiques, fine bakeries and caterers with delicious snacks. Every Wednesday there is a lively market where you feel you really in France. Opera in Liege ?! A unique experience ... Exclusive shopping in Aachen ?! Doing fine ... On Sunday morning there is the famous antique market in Tongeren. Unprecedented! The house is located halfway between the border region and the so-called. Ardennes Bleues. Near the abbey of Val Dieu (delicious Trappist beer and cheese). A round trip reserved by car? Nice walk? Fantastic cycling with the ATB? Or do some trout fishing from the garden in Berwinne? Whether you are now the two of you or with the kids on vacation ... France has never been so close! It really is our home and people who come here think they are right in the Dordogne or so. Since we can not always make the house we want to share it with fun people use. The house was built with love, furnished and maintained. We trust that you have the fullest and enjoy it just as handle with care along as we do. Pay attention! There is a TV with a DVD player with more than 100 films for young and old. However, there is no satellite connection! There is wifi for people who really can not do without ;-)
Pay attention! During the summer holidays we only rent by the week.

Ten years ago I bought and an old water mill along the Berwinne snapped him up. I use the mill mostly for weekends and short breaks. I have a pretty busy life in a creative profession and the mill is a delightful haven for me. Cooking, gardening and flea markets around scour my hobbies. Then socializing with friends and the kids at the long table. Good food and good wine. I would like to share with you the mill.
