This old water mill is located along the Berwinne in Dalhem, just across the border from Maastricht. It is a small (max. 4 adults or a couple with 1 to 3 children) but super cozy house in a magical place in the Herve country. This is French-speaking Belgium at its best.

In the backyard a piece of forest with original historical elements and a beautiful view of the fairy-lit Eglise Saint-Pancrace at night. The house has been carefully decorated by us with beautiful items and flea markets. The garden is an oasis of tranquility and is located against the old ramparts of the ancient village. The wood-fired hot tub is a must! Especially in the fall or winter.

The center of Maastricht can be reached by car within fifteen minutes. The nice town of Visé is great for shopping. Exclusive boutiques, delicious bakeries and caterers with the tastiest snacks. Every Wednesday morning there is a lively market where you imagine yourself in France.

The Opera in Liège? A unique experience... Exclusive shopping in Aachen? Great to do... On Sunday morning there is the famous antiques market in Tongeren. Unknown!

The house is located exactly between the Voer region and the so-called Ardennes Bleues. Near the abbey of Val Dieu (delicious Trappist and cheeses). A tour by car? Nice walk? Fantastic cycling? Or enjoy trout fishing from the garden in the Berwinne? Whether you are on holiday as a couple or with the children... You will not be bored.

It is our holiday home and people who come here feel like God in France. Since we cannot always use the house, we would like to share it with nice people. The house has been lovingly built, furnished and maintained. We trust that you will enjoy it to the fullest and treat it with the same care as we do.

There is a smart TV, but there is no satellite connection. There is WIFI so you can watch your favorite movies or series with Netflix or Disney +.

*The changeover day is Friday. Only in July and August also on Mondays. Arrival between 4 and 6 p.m. and departure by 11 a.m. at the latest.

For us, the first visit to the mill was a real 'wow' moment. "It really does look like the pictures!" Kim beamed. This place and its authentic character brings a blissful peace. Let go of all your worries and stress during a weekend or a short vacation, who doesn't want that. We enjoy it ourselves to the fullest and would like to share it with you.

Explanation of prices

The house can only be rented per week (7 nights) or weekend (3 nights). Arrival is always on Friday. Only in July and August, arriving on Monday for a midweek (4 nights) is also possible.

The prices include bed and bath linen and electricity consumption. Consumption of water is included for filling the hot tub once per stay.

Wood pellets for the pellet stove cost €12 per bag.
The firewood for the wood stoves and/or the hot tub is charged according to consumption.

The final cleaning is €75 and is mandatory.

The house is suitable for 2 adults and a maximum of 3 kids/teenagers. More people are not allowed.

Pets are not allowed.
