Corona update
We would like to share information about a holiday at Chalet FrieLinde in Austria. For a long time it was completely unclear because of the Corona virus whether a holiday abroad would be possible.
Tourism Austria
Tourism in Austria is being restarted, since 1 June attractions and sights have been gradually reopened. There is a lot to do for the tourists in the Gailtal.
Cancellations
For all made and future bookings, if the easings of the measures around the Corona virus are reversed by the authorities and you are no longer allowed to come to our holiday home (cancellation), we will refund all amounts paid to you. For other risks that can lead to cancellation of the trip, we recommend that you take out cancellation insurance.
Precautions
As a precaution we have ensured that the holiday home is cleaned extra before the first tenants arrive. When changing groups, we have extra time and attention for cleaning the whole house by our cleaning service. We have ensured that there is one bottle of disinfectant (70%) alcohol and one hand pump with hand gel in our holiday home per rental period. You need to provide extra disinfectant, hand gel and mouth masks. To clean sensitive surfaces (remote controls / light switches / etc.), spray the disinfectant on a cloth / tissue / paper towel and clean the surface.
We advise to always wash your hands upon entering !!!
Chalet FrieLinde since 2012, is a luxurious spacious holiday home for several families up to 11 people. Very suitable to spend the holidays with several, three generations. Three-storey house with all amenities. The chalet is located in the Gailtal. In winter, you can reach 115 km of slopes in less than 10 minutes in Nassfeld. The ski bus (150 meters from the house) takes you for free to the beautiful ski area where you can also cross-country skiing and on the nearby Weissensee there are skating opportunities.
After a sporty day it is wonderful to stay in our chalet, which is equipped with a wood stove. The chalet has two kitchens with oven, fridge / freezer, dishwasher and other amenities. There are two bathrooms and a washing machine in the central area.
On the bottom floor a very spacious studio with a bedroom for 2 people and a sofa bed for 2 people, on the top floor three bedrooms. Two bedrooms have a double bed with balcony. A bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. All beds have high-quality mattresses, the right part is a bit softer and the left a bit harder, wonderful duvets and pillows.
In the spring, summer and late season you are in just 5 minutes on the beautiful 18-hole golf course, located between the beautiful mountains.
You can enter Italy within half an hour. In three hours you are in beautiful Venice. If you want to go to the beach, you can be in Grado in Italy on the Mediterranean in two hours.
In the immediate vicinity are the typical Austrian places such as Lienz and Villach.
For the hikers, the area has several pastures that are very easily accessible, here you can enjoy a delicious Jauseplatte for the hungry hiker, a specialty that you must have tasted.
For youth there are mountain bike (downhill) tours from Nassfeld, rafting on the Gail in spring and on the Drau in summer, there are also summer toboggan runs in Nassfeld and Lienz.
You can dive in the Weissensee and there is a diving school. In Kötschach Mauthen you can climb the mountains with the Alpine Verrein, great fun for the novice and experienced alpinist.
Chalet FrieLinde contains everything for a unique winter and summer, spring and autumn holidays in beautiful Carinthia in Austria. An ideal home for several families, grandparents with children and grandchildren.

Hello. We spent our Christmas holidays 22-29.12 in this wonderful house. The house is new, was built in summer 2012. Warm floor, no additional heating needed. A lot of living space for big family or 2 smaller families, we were 8 persons and felt free. High-quality furniture, bed linen and blankets, well equipped kitchens make the holiday very comfortable. 10 min to ski lift (Nassfeld) by car. Owner is a very nice and friendly person.
