Well cared for beautiful cottage. It's nice that some basic things have been thought of in the kitchen. Salt, pepper etc. There is also wifi, air conditioning, TV and fridge. In the morning some noise from road and air conditioning neighbor. If you close the door to the toilet and kitchen, much less noise. It is quiet in the beautiful garden. Friendly people. Would love to go back again.

Hello Sander and Roel, we have now been with you for the 2nd time and have had a great time again.
The location of your bungalow is perfect, a bit in the middle of all destinations.
Close to the supermarket AH, and shopping center Zuikertuintje where you can walk to for an ice cream in the evening.
Once again we enjoyed the island, and it is definitely worth repeating.

In the previous reviews, everything has been mentioned. We can fully agree with this. We felt more than welcome in the cottage. This was mainly due to the owners Roel and Sander. The 4 weeks have flown by. We had a lovely time...

We had a great stay, nice apartment in a beautiful garden next to the house of the friendly landlords.
Opposite, a new studio has been built but you have plenty of privacy.

We had a great stay, nice apartment in a beautiful garden next to the house of the friendly landlords.
Opposite, a new studio has been built but you have plenty of privacy.
Everything you need is there, there are plenty of towels and you can wash them yourself in the washing machine. You can also change your bed linen yourself 1 x a week, which will then be washed by the landlord.
The location is very central, on a quiet street, center and beach at 10 min drive, You do need a car to see some of curaçao.
Keep in mind that there is no locked gate yet (this one is in the making), some car rental companies like ours require this.
A disadvantage is that there is no hot water, so take a cold shower and use the kettle to wash up.
After a few days we got used to it, and the water is always a bit lukewarm so it's actually easy to do.
In short, highly recommended!! Thanks again Sander and Roel!!

We stayed in the Koetshuijs for 1 week and it is an ideal base to explore the island! We were very pleasantly surprised about the size of the rooms, furthermore there is plenty of privacy because you have your own entrance (and private parking for the car). There is now another studio on the property, but this was not currently rented. The facilities are well maintained, so you can also prepare your own meals. The cold shower took some getting used to, but in the end it was very tasty. Sander is very hospitable (even late at night on New Year's Eve!) and very easily accessible during the entire stay! We have even been invited to a very nice birthday drink :) We would definitely like to come back here again!

As always had a good experience. One thing we would like to see changed is the drying rack. It is very rusty and keeps falling apart. An investment in that would be very nice.

Our experience during our 30 days stay in 't Koetshuijs as vacationers to experience, taste and feel Curaçao how the people live there and what the island looks like in its entirety.

Our experience during our 30 days stay in 't Koetshuijs as vacationers to experience, taste and feel Curaçao how the people live there and what the island looks like in its entirety.
So we didn't come as tourists (all day in the sun and stay in the same resort)
In that respect, 't Koetshuijs was a great place to stay and a perfect base.
It is not big but DEFINITELY NOT TOO SMALL and all necessary amenities are neat and clean on arrival.
I can be brief about both landlords, they are great people. Correct, friendly and will assist you with advice and assistance if necessary.
Because they also live on the site, contact is quickly made if you have any questions. We also respond quickly to an e-mail or phone call.
Other than that, you are very private.
Shopping centers, supermarkets, city center, beaches, nature reserves and sights are easily accessible via the nearby roads.
The groceries are done quickly, but it is also delicious to eat the "home-cook" meals, prepared by mothers and grandmothers, at the local restaurants.
Well, I could go on like this for a few more A-4 pages, but it comes down to this:
1st Highly recommended for 1 or 2 people.
2. Book immediately if you have the chance (you won't regret it at all)
On a next visit to Curaçao, we will first see if it is available on our vacation days, if not, see if we can adjust our vacation days and if neither of them succeeds THEN UNFORTUNATELY look for an alternative.
