Our favorite spot is our holiday home in Balk. Located in the middle of the wooded Gaasterland, the beautiful water-rich environment and the pleasant town of Balk. This region is often seen as the most beautiful area of Friesland. In turn, Friesland has been voted the most attractive province of the Netherlands. Lonely Planet has declared Friesland as one of the most promising regions in the world, not yet discovered by mass tourism. In the area you can enjoy walking, cycling, golfing, sailing, sloops, surfing, supping and swimming. The house itself is fully equipped: fireplace, two digital flat screen TVs, a washer/dryer combination, dishwasher, microwave, whirlpool, DVD films, sound system (CD + radio, bluetooth), fridge/freezer combination. Outside there is a Z-terrace, BBQ, private berth on the wooden jetty with swimming ladder and 2 boat places.
