The house is located in the beautiful valley below the village of Lanjarón, which is within walking distance. I do not charge a cleaning fee ; there is a modest surcharge for firewood and WiFi, both of which are optional and each cost 4 euros per night. It can be rented for a maximum of five people in the summer and a maximum of four the rest of the year and is not suitable for toddlers .
Around the house you will find a spacious terrace with beautiful mountain views surrounded by ornamental gardens and an orchard, with cats that I will ask you to feed (otherwise a neighbor will). You have a swimming pool of nine meters long at your disposal entirely for your own use, but only in the summer months. In the area are the fields of the people of the village, who grow fruit and vegetables and keep chickens, horses, goats, etc., so that you can experience the authentic country life of Andalusia up close. There are also a few non-Spaniards who, like me, could not resist the charms of the area and have built a house there. Lanjarón is known as a spa and as the origin of mineral water, because water from the high mountains reaches the area in abundance. This makes it a true oasis in arid Andalusia: irrigation canals dating from Moorish times ripple on all sides of the house, and you will always hear the river rushing from the valley. Depending on the time of year, you will be able to eat fruit directly from the tree: oranges, medlars, pears, figs, etc. The area is especially suitable for hikers, nature lovers, peace seekers. The nearest beach is a 30 minute drive away, and beautiful Granada is a little closer. The Alhambra Palace, the most beautiful monument in Spain, should not be missed.
Some guests are initially shocked by the access road: a few hundred meters with curves and a fairly steep slope. Such roads are quite normal here, but not in the flat Netherlands. It went quickly!
If you click on "Ask the landlord a question", on the right side of the page, I will be happy to answer your questions and doubts.
The house was renovated and partly redecorated in 2022.
